Awareness by 110 CancerCare

I think many of us know about CANCER. As the world continues to develop, so does cancer! There are getting more and more cases of cancers as approximate 7.6 millions deaths (13% of all deaths)  in 2008 were caused by cancer [1]. I understand the devastation and effects of cancers to both the patients and his/her family.

I was contacted to write about 110 CancerCare project joint-ventured by National Cancer Society Malaysia and AXA Affin Life Insurance [2]. As an effort to spread earlier awareness on cancer, the webportal provides some of the available paths to safeguard future of yourself and your love ones [3].

Personally, I think is a very good initiative to promote health awareness and future protection on cancer. Therefore, maybe you can just spend 10 mins or less to have quick check on the links, it will benefit you in a small way, yet, who knows this small gesture can save your life!

University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus Green Week (UMNC) Going Green!

Finally, after studying so many years, my uni decided to take huge step in going green! Even though I consider myself as a green person, I still think my effort is not that strong~ I practice 3Rs and try to minimise the usage of energy and water. I am hoping to venture into renewable energy field. Oh well, what a nice dream I have!

A Cruel World for The Cats

In the eyes of the cats, the world is becoming crueler and colder by the days. Gone were those days where people were more compassionate towards animals including cats and dogs. To them, humans were their best friend. But, who would have thought that humans would also become their worst enemies (note: not directed to cat lovers and other kind people in the world).

To be truthful, facebook really opens the eyes of people from all over the world. The 1st ever video on cats' torturing I watched was the high-heel Asian Bi*** killing the poor and defenseless kitten. The whole process was gruesome to watch. Before torturing the poor kitten, she was hugging it. The next thing, she was stepping her sharp heels into the poor kitten' body. Isn't this a horrific scene to see??? It was like piercing through my body. Imagine you are in the kitten's position!!!!! Until today, I don't know whether they caught her or not~~~

Then, just recently, another tragedy happened in Serdang. Yes, just near my place, this is so heartbreaking!!!!! The girl was stomping 3 kittens to death. The helpless mother of the kitten must have been devastated seeing her babies dying in front of her(><)!!!!!! Later, facebook users located her and she came out and apologised. I wondered why she did that at the 1st place~ !!!!! Think before you act!!!!!~~

About a year ago, a black cat gave birth to 3 pretty kittens at my neighbour's house. But, she was being chased away and landed at my place. My sis and I sympathised them and gave them water, food, a nice cardboard for them to stay. Before I could "kidnap" one of them, black mama took them away(><) Hope that they are living a better life! Look at them! Aren't they cute? HOW COULD PEOPLE BE THAT CRUEL!!!!(><)

Appreciate life! Don't just simply kill! Don't torture them as Earth is their homes tooo!!!!!~~~

PS: Currently facing huge workloads! But, the horrible event woke up me and reminded me not to forget how the World spins~~~

Yellow Hearts For The Need

After a horrific journey from KL to Ipoh, I finally survived the road trip. Well, I woke up around 7.30am and tried to get to KL Central from Serdang before 9am. But, it took me almost an hour to reach there. Then, I missed the train to Ipoh. Then, I changed to Plan B - took bus instead. Anyway, KTM wasted everybody time!!!!

Anyway, right after I reached home, I had my lunch and met up my old friends at Ipoh Parade. Omg, it had been quite some time we met up! We did not really change that much, except

  • Ziyang-Hmmm, 1 word - facial
  • kahjoon - more tanned
  • joonheng - still the same
  • kahfei - also the same
  • kokleong - he needs to exercise
Hahaha, really missed them! Some of them are leaving the country to further their studies overseas. Again, I wish them all the best with my heart! We shall be friend forever; keep in touch!!!!

Helping Hands

Yes, I have committed myself to do something meaningful to the society, to the need, to the unfortunate and others. Therefore, as I had promised Stephanie, this morning, I woke up late rushing to Serdang KTM station. Again, I was running to catch the train. When I reached the uni, we took off with one of our friends' car.

Just as we were going to our destination, we passed by the Kajang KTM station. Oh my gosh! Anyway, when we reached a centre for special need children, the lady in charged told us that guys' job was to do the fencing while the girls were doing the paper works. Fencing, in our minds, was like fencing the ground or a place or just whatever. Well, actually, to our surprise, we were doing fencing for a fencing. The further fencing work was to prevent rats, cats, kittens, insects..(you name them) from coming in. It took us a few hours just to the first panel. Yes, 7 guys, few hours, 1 huge panel. The grill panel was really tall, even one of my tall friend need a ladder to reach the top.

Then, after some hours, we took a break!(Finally) Then, after lunch, we continued again until about 4pm. My hands now are quite sore because we did not wear any gloves. We were moving stuffs with our bare hands. Then, when we cut the grills, it was quite painful because they were steel afterall.........

The HELPING HANDS...........................

Anyway, doing charity is still a good thing. We must help out whenever we can. Now, it is time to start on my assignment again. Oh my gosh! I really have to go now because I forgot to wash my clothes.......

I AM A BLOGGER (Stage 2- Going Green)

Photobucket

Ooo, yup, this is the next stage of I AM A BLOGGER(^^){IBLOG}. This is also a new look for I AM A BLOGGER(^^). After going through deep consideration , I have decided to create this new going-green look for I AM A BLOGGER(^^) poster. In this poster, I used very simple words and stickers to express the new theme for the group. In short, I am going green, so does, I AM A BLOGGER group. Hence, under this new stage, not only I would try my best to promote the group and the fellow group members' blogs, I would also like to instill an environmental-vibes into the mind of most people. As you can see from the new poster, the theme is "Going Green - Love Our Earth! I do, but, do you?"

Under this new stage, I would:
  1. Write more articles on environment issues
  2. Introduce more ways to save energy
  3. Learn more about environment
  4. try to spread greenness to everybody

Even though I am still quite new in this environment thingy, I will try my best to really help the environment by starting to go green. Some people might think that my ability to spread green is very limited. But, I am sure that people who care about the environment will be influenced by me sooner or later.{I sound so evil leh(^^)}. Well, if I put my heart and soul into something, I am sure that the results will be fruitful.

Therefore, a few easy ways to start to save the environment:

  1. recycle, reuse, and reuse
  2. save energy by using energy-saving light bulbs
  3. don't let the water running while brushing your teeth, shaving...
  4. try to make natural fertilizers using organic wastes
(Even though these ways are not very fresh and new, how many person actually really do that? If you do, then, it is great. You can go to the next stage. Anyway, my group is not that big, but, one day, I hope I really can touch people hearts and they start to save the environment.)

Lastly, just like my blog desciption:
Love Our Nature! Save Our Trees! Love Our Environment! Save Our Future!

{p.s: I also change my blog icon again, isn't it cute!Photobucket

Bloody + Mummy 3

As you can see from my title, I am going to talk about Mummy 3. But, before that, I am going to share with you all another very interesting incident that happened yesterday. Actually, I wanted to update yesterday. However, my blogger got problem. Sigh...Oh well, what can I do? I have no choice but to update today.

Before giving out the details, let's play a little games. I will give you hints, let's guess. No prizes, but a lot of fun.

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

  1. A bottle that I drank from it.
  2. A towel with my sweat on it.
  3. An empty plastic which I ate from it.
p.s: This is not an e-bay auction. Well, who wants to buy anyway(hehe, all people want is Britney's) Okey, with these kind of hints, most probably, you won't be able to know what happen.

more hints........
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

  1. A plaster on my (beautiful) arm, hehe, I guess this is the main hint.
  2. A lot of free food.
  3. A beautiful key chain
  4. A couple of tickets, well, this is the hint for the next incident.
Yup, you guess right!!! Yesterday, I went to donate blood. Actually, this is already the third time I donated blood.

It really felt good after donating blood, like I did a good thing(I did). Actually, yesterday, a lot of people were very supportive including me and my friend, Kok Leong. There were even a group of volunteers helping at the event. That was truly a event of charity. After donating blood, they even gave us a goodies-bag which consisted of food, drink, key chain, towel and etc. So, what you waiting for, a drop saves a life-----------don't be afraid to donate your blood because your red blood cells will eventually be destroyed in your body. So, if your blood can save a life, then, donate!!!!

Photobucket

Be a part of this meaningful even! Your blood might save more lives than you thought.!!!

Now it is the time to talk about Mummy 3.

Obviously, after donating blood, I was just near the cinema, so, again, I planned to waste some money again. With Kok Leong again, we watched The Mummy 3:The Tomb of The Dragon Emperor. Actually, I had high expectation towards this movie. This was because the Mummy and Mummy 2 were huge successes. The old movies combined the ancient and the mystical of Egypt and brought alive a movie of mysterious with ancient language, codes, and spells. Of course, I really liked the old Evelyn played by Rachel Weisz.

In this new movie, it shifted the plot from mysterious Eygpt to ancient China. This time, a lot of Chinese actors were added to pump in new excitement, such as Michelle Yeoh-Our Own Datuk, Jet Li, Isabella Leong, Russell Wong, and Jessey Meng. However, because the movie revolved a lot on the rivalry between Emperor Han by Jet Li and Zi Juan-Michelle Yeoh, the O'Connell family was little bit neglected. Apart from that, the new Evelyn was very adventurous, but, the old Evelyn just mesmerized the audience. Nonetheless, new Evelyn can really fight.

The O'Connell Family really made a great team. But, actually, I was hoping that their son won't grow up that fast. Like at least, in this movie ,he is still a teenager. But, to my surprise, his son was all grown up. Brendan Fraser was in his middle-age(But, actually, they looked like brother than father and son.)

I told you all already, they really looked like brothers.

They have been mother and daughter for more than 2000 years, Omg, they are really go at maintaning their appearances(真的很会保养哦)

The Emperor Han who united the China in the movie. He was very powerful, capable of controlling the 5 elements, water, wood, metal, fire, earth. A man crazed for power and eternity of life.

Mummy 3 was another must-watch movie. With the plot set in China, it really made the movie very interesting. I also loved the story of the beginning when Zi Juan cursed Emperor Han, it was a beautiful story.
