Soya Lee, Icy Princess (2001 - 2012)

More than 1 year, she left us. Soya Lee, the Icy Princess who used to be around us all the time with her soft fur and cunning movement. Yup, she was always cute and always will be in our memories! I still remembered clearly how she ventured in our lives.

My sister and I went to buy something and as we passed by a vet clinic, there she was, looking skinny and happily playing with her siblings. Regardless of my mom's protest, my sis insisted to take her in. Just like that, she became Soya Lee.

While many people said that cats are not as loyal as dogs, I believe it is not entirely true. When I was preparing my SPM, she was there supporting silently (until she became so annoying). When I was down, she would just sleep on floor so cute that I forgot my problem instantly! YES, Her cuteness was simply irresistible.

She had been always classy and babei all the time! Hahaha, but, that's why I love her so much as she was keeping her integrity! Yup, she didn't like people to cuddle her; over-cuddle would irritate her until she bite.

In 2009, she fell ill as she urinated blood. It was such a horrible moment to me. Medication was useless; therefore, she undergone a surgery to clear off the crystals in her bladder. I took care of her day and night that time until she fully recovered.

Times would never stop. In 2012 January, she breathed her last when her injury from a dog's bite became deadly. I wasn't managed to see her last and my parents didn't tell me her condition until she left me for 3 days. She was really waiting for me to see her; guess that I miss the chance to say goodbye as she passed away after 1 day I returned home.

Reading back the childish posts I wrote for her, it was truly a good memory! Thank you Soya Lee for a great 10 years of companionship! Without you, life would be so dull and less interesting. You truly lit up my light.

Recently, my coursemate of 5 years passed away due to cancer. It is still unbelievable as life is so unexpected. I still can't accept the fact like this. For someone you talk to for 5 years, just in a instance, everything changes. How sad to remember the days we spent for tripping and everything. I took his photo during the tripping, after presentation, etc......In this instance, I realised one point - We are all grown up, finally!

Birth! Life ! Sickness! Death! >>> We are in life stage (growing up/ aging). Let's us appreciate our friendship, relationship,family.......because when it is gone, it is forever.

The 4-Legged Creature A.K.A Monitor Lizard

I feel so much better right now. Thanks for your support my friend! I am less emo now (^^)

If you remember my previous posts on animals, you basically can guess that my house is a mini zoo. Sometimes, it also attracts some uninvited "wild" guests. For example, my Panda (German Shepherd) was killed by a Cobra... (here). Anyway, it was just another normal day when my dogs were barking crazily~

Just in an instance, my dad spotted the 4-legged creature! It was very huge! (I didn't even know the English name of this creature)..Haha, I have to admit my vocab sucks!~ Anyway, my brave dad who is always looking for adventure, decided to capture the monitor lizard himself. If for me, I will lock the door and ignore its existence. Hahaha~ look at how long it was!

Photobucket
No kidding! It was super long and we suspected that it was actually feeding on our fishes! Kesian our fish (><)~ Instead of killing it, papa decided to release it (放生). I think it is some sort of a way to redeem the sins we did intentionally and unintentionally. So, if you see any horrible abuse of animals, try to set them free! You are doing a good deed!

Photobucket
Oh yes, a close up! Its scale looks pretty right! My dad was trying to sort a number from its pattern. Haiz, how typical~ Like that also can derive number@@~~~

Photobucket
After that, we released it to the huge drain near our house. Hopefully,it will not be coming back~Did i mention that this is the 3rd monitor my dad caught? (@@)

The Meaning of Life: The Cat Lesson and Happy Parents' Day

I think education is very important. In this case, I mean instead of the usual education in school, I am referring to the lesson we learn in life and also from important individual such as our parents. Anyway, to continue the bits and puzzles of this story, you can find a little of hints from Part 1 and Part 2.

So, like humans, cats also teach their babies how to survive in this cruel world. One fine morning, I heard meowing from the backyard. So, I glimpsed through my windows. To my surprise, I thought there were kittens being abandoned. But, in actual, the black cat was actually training their babies. There are so many stuffs we can't learn from school! We must take action and learn from it!

Photobucket

It was hard to believe that these kittens actually stayed at my house before. Now, they could run and reach for their mother!

Photobucket

If you observe clearly, the mother was so aware of my "silent" presence! Since I started to snap photos of them, she was already "eye" on me! Oh yes, no kidding! Like any parents, she vowed to protect her children.

However, I hate to say this! Cats are just too independent! When they are mature enough, the mother will let them venture off just like the children will find their own journey in life. Well, I hope that all parents and children relationship are not like that. Learn to appreciate your parents' effort and time to raise you. You can be independent like the cat; but, don't abandon your family! Don't always take from your parent and remember to give back some tokens of appreciation!

Happy Parents' Day

A Cruel World for The Cats

In the eyes of the cats, the world is becoming crueler and colder by the days. Gone were those days where people were more compassionate towards animals including cats and dogs. To them, humans were their best friend. But, who would have thought that humans would also become their worst enemies (note: not directed to cat lovers and other kind people in the world).

To be truthful, facebook really opens the eyes of people from all over the world. The 1st ever video on cats' torturing I watched was the high-heel Asian Bi*** killing the poor and defenseless kitten. The whole process was gruesome to watch. Before torturing the poor kitten, she was hugging it. The next thing, she was stepping her sharp heels into the poor kitten' body. Isn't this a horrific scene to see??? It was like piercing through my body. Imagine you are in the kitten's position!!!!! Until today, I don't know whether they caught her or not~~~

Then, just recently, another tragedy happened in Serdang. Yes, just near my place, this is so heartbreaking!!!!! The girl was stomping 3 kittens to death. The helpless mother of the kitten must have been devastated seeing her babies dying in front of her(><)!!!!!! Later, facebook users located her and she came out and apologised. I wondered why she did that at the 1st place~ !!!!! Think before you act!!!!!~~

Photobucket

About a year ago, a black cat gave birth to 3 pretty kittens at my neighbour's house. But, she was being chased away and landed at my place. My sis and I sympathised them and gave them water, food, a nice cardboard for them to stay. Before I could "kidnap" one of them, black mama took them away(><) Hope that they are living a better life! Look at them! Aren't they cute? HOW COULD PEOPLE BE THAT CRUEL!!!!(><)

Appreciate life! Don't just simply kill! Don't torture them as Earth is their homes tooo!!!!!~~~

PS: Currently facing huge workloads! But, the horrible event woke up me and reminded me not to forget how the World spins~~~

Malaysia - Paradise for Animals? Revised Animals Act 1953

Story 1 - If the news didn't spread the story of 300 abandoned dogs being left in Pulau Ketam(Pulau Tengah) to die, I think that people would still think that Malaysia is a paradise for animal? Paradise might be for the noble breed, how about the normal, average looking mongrels? It would be like hell for them. Sometimes, I really doubted the ability of the government in handling this kind of problem. So, they dumped them there thinking that the dogs could eat what - sand? water? mud? leaves? Then, the horror happened when 300 abandoned dogs eat each other on Malaysia Island(http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/world/2009-05/07/content_7753693.htm) In the 1st place, they must plan well in solving this problem. Got problem baru solved it - is not the way. (Do you still remember this case?) No, look at here http://www.mycen.com.my/rescue/index.html The rescue team trying to save! Foreigners would be horrified to read this news(><)

Story 2 - KTM's abuse story in 2010 was also another shocking reveal! At Kepong KTM, a dog was tied up and a wooden stick was shoved under its throat! Omg, imagine that someone shoved a wooden spoon into your throat! Do you like it?! I complaint about KTM all the time, but, this time, it was really horrible! It was ridiculous that a stray dog being abused like that in the public and the workers seemed to got away from any kind of legal actions! Paradise for animals in Malaysia, think again!~~~(http://www.mathaba.net/0_index.shtml?x=623156)

Other Stories  - There were so many stories to tell. If telling them one by one could help, of course, I would! But, actions always speak louder than words! Animals Act 1953 in Malaysia is obsolete! Yes, this act is older than me!An antique would not be able to govern the country!~~~Imagine that you are the one being mistreated or abused! Animals are living beings! They feel the pain, hurt...too.

Therefore, my friend, Janice, sent me a petition to amend the Animals Act 1953 as follow:
We urge for the increase of the liable fine of RM 200 to a minimum of RM 10,000. We also propose the liable jail term to be increase from 6 months to a maximum of 2 years with the compulsory community service to be carried out in animal shelters for a minimum of 4 hours per day during jail term. We also press upon the need to include the ban of consuming dogs and cats to the REVISED ANIMALS ACT 1953 as dogs and cats are companion animals.

Yes, with more strict rules, this would definitely help to reduce abuse case!  So, sign the petition here:

The True Hero - In Memory of Panda Lee (2001 - 2010)

10-2-2010 was the date Panda Lee scarified himself for protecting us from the cobra for the 2nd time. About 2 years ago,  Panda was brave enough to fight the cobra himself (Panda Versus Cobra). But, this time, unfortunately, he lost the fight. On 10-2-2010, he had his deepest sleep and started to his journey to a better place.

On April 2001, he joined my family. That time, when he 1st came here, he was already huge! (German Shepherd Breed). Then, when we moved to our new house, there he was, accompanying us for 10 years. Even though he seemed to be fierce, deep down, he was a loyal, friendly, kind-hearted dog who vowed to protect my family from any harms.

Recently years, he had become weaker due to his growing age. 10 years old for a canine means approximately 70 years in human life span.  But, in the end, he left us with dignity by completing his fate of protecting us! He is the true hero who will always be in our heart! May he rest in peace. Thank you for your protection.

This post is dedicated to my Pan Pan who were with us for 10 years! A decade of loyalty, commitment and love towards us was amazing! We thank you for everything for protecting us and never ask for anything for return! Hope that you will be in a better place. This video is for you~~~~~~~~bye bye , Pan Pan~~~

Blood Crystals!!!

Photobucket

It had been half a year since I discovered my lovely, beautiful, cute, and angelic on the outside yet fierce baby kitty, Soya urinating a small amount of blood in her urine. Therefore, I sent her to the vet! When she was on medication, her condition was not that serious. When we thought that she was finally recovered, we decided to stop her medicine.

Then, about a week ago, her urine was seriously reddish! From that instance, I knew that surgery was really inevitable as the crystals inside her bladder were getting bigger day by day and were hurting her! Then, we sent her to the clinic to help her to remove those crystals inside her. Blood crystals were formed from my Soya's body after the surgery! [Pic above shows some fragment of the blood crystals] How awful is that!? Those crystals were really deadly yet if you look closely, they were like the petals of the flowers! Beautiful killer, should I say?!

Currently, Soya's condition is stable. Three days ago, just right after her surgery, she was crazily fierce! Her meow was so taunting!!! No kidding!!! We were trying to tighten her "the thing around her neck" so that she would not disturb her surgery wound. Well, the Miss Soya was not pleased!
Photobucket

Here she is - My Baby Soya!!!I think that now she is about 9-year-old which is equivalent to human lifespan of 63-year-old. [Omg, she is already in grandma category~~~] Yup, almost 10 years in our family, and I am proud to say that she is my fake girlfriend!!!(^^). Soya, please get well soon!!!! With her getting sick, I really have no mood to blog!!! Currently, taking care of her(^^) For more info on my baby girl, here is the link [My Lovely Soya].

Soya, please get well soon!!!

She Is Alright!

Headline : A Horrible Attack on A Cute Dog by A Cobra Snake

It was two days ago when a horrible tragedy befell on my lovely dog - Goldie.... This incident already happened to my Panda a few months ago.

Again, there were barking of dogs from the store room, especially from Goldie. She was so noisy until my dad went to look for her. She was in the store room, barking non-stop aimlessly. My dad was suspicious. Well, his suspicion was right when another Cobra King just glided by his leg. Immediately, I shouted for Goldie to get her out of the store room.

She quickly came out, but, apparently, she was attacked by the cobra when she kept on scratching her right eye with her leg. Something was not right because she seemed like in excruciating pain. I wanted to send her to the clinic immediately but it was Sunday.

After calming down, I called my sis who was , by the way, a veterinarian. She asked me to check whether Goldie was bitten or not. After examining her, I thought that the main problem was that Goldie's eye might be contaminated with venom from the cobra. After a while, her eye was so swollen that she could not open her eye. Sis asked me to clean her eyes with water immediately. Thank goodness sis left some medicine behind before she returned to work.

After 2 days of medicine, eye cream, and eye drops, she is getting better now. Her eye is alright. She is alright !!!!!!!!!!! (^^)

Headline : The Chronicle of Goldie Locks

Goldie was not really Goldie. She just came to my house during my SPM examination. Wow, she stayed with my family about 2 years already. I still remembered the day she came. She was so cute, beautiful and clueless. My mum said that she was sitting outside our house. So, she just let her in. Before keeping her, we tried to find her owner; however, our efforts were to no avail.

Just like that, she became a part of our family. After staying with us for a while, she showed us that she is a very clever and cunning dog. Ever since then, she is like the apple of our family. Actually, before she came, we had another dog called Goldie too. That is why Goldie was not Goldie. She was a brown pincher. One day, she was gone and we did not hear from her anymore. It was such pain to lose her because the Original Goldie was with our family for more than 9 years. The sudden loss of brown Goldie was so saddening. But, we learned to face it.

Everything was really fated when the new black pincher came into our lives. Even though she was whole black, she was somewhat resembling the brown Goldie. Maybe, she was "her". Hahaha.........................

Anyway, the good news is that she is alright!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S: Ultra busy for preparing for my tests! Less than a week before my finals. So, sorry for all the late replies. I will not be blogging for quite some time.

P.s: But, don't forget me. Because I will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Panda Versus Cobra

When you first see the title, you might have thought of the recent hit movie, KUNG FU PANDA. Well, that is not the case. Actually, Panda Versus Cobra is all about the horrible event that occurs in my very own home.

Well, a few days ago, when I was apparently inside my home, checking on my emails, there were huge barks from our backyard, the combination of Panda's, Goldie's, and Cowdy's(Ngau Ngau) alarming barks. My mum and I felt something were amiss. Because before this, there was a surface of a poisonous creature - The Cobra King. My dad was also feeling something was not right. He ran down from his room, and straight to the backyard.

Then, a loud shout from the backyard, :"you she (got snake)!!!". My mum and I quickly went to backyard to have a look. When we got there, guess what we saw? A very long snake, which I did not measure how long it was. But, when we got there, the Cobra was down. My dad was the hero who saved our dogs. But, unfortunately, an unforeseen event happened, my lovely Panda, which is a German-Shepherd, was bitten by the poisonous cobra, his leg was injured.

Our lovely Panda had been with our family for so many years. He was already 8-year-old(in human life span, he is already 50 something). So, without any hesitation, my dad and I brought him to the vet. Well, that day was Sunday, we were so lucky that we were able to find a vet(Thanks to my sis who contacted the vet).

After the vets met Panda, they treated him. But, due to the very expensive anti-venom couldn't be injected in a single shot, Panda had to stay back for a day. With a little of reluctance, we left he behind for the best.

Guess who was back? Panda was all mighty again as he used to be, but, still kept his sad eyes. Haha, but, the most important thing is that he is fine now. But, the bill was very ..... Oh, well, after all, Panda was fully-recovered. That is what really matters.

At the end, my dad won.............................................(^^), ironic, rite?

My Lovely Soya...

To be frank, my house is almost like a zoo. I have dogs, cat, guinea pig, and used to have a tortoise. Right now, I still lack of an iguana, a snake, an adorable chinchilla, and a little hamster. But, if I get more pets, my mum sure will.....I have no idea. I think for this moment, I will stop. So, in this blog, I want to introduce my lovely cat this time.

My pet cat's name is Soya. Sometime, I also call her Soby, Baby,.. She is just my baby. Hahaha, please don't feel "geli" or "gross" because she is as cute as a baby. I love her light blue eye, white-furred body, and her unique black nose. That is my Soya. Now, I am going to show a few picture of her.

soyaaaa

Even though she is such a beauty, she has a "diva" temper. Sometimes, she is even worse than really diva. Well, she doesn't like people to hold her. If you mess with her, she will bite. When you pamper, this ungrateful angel will certainly "attack". This is how she repay our love to her. Above all of this, she is still an angel from the outside only.Hahaha..So, you have to be patient with her, she is the diva.

so relax

Doesn't she look like an angel? She is so white.

I talked about her look and personality. But, I haven't talked about her journey to our home. My sister and I actually adopted her from a clinic. She was tiny that time. Too bad, I didn't have the copy of that. Eversince she came into our lives, she brought all sorts of emotions into our lives as well,

happy because she is so cute,
sad because she bites horribly,
clueless because she loves to hide outside for days,
grateful because she comes back safe and sound.

I really treat her like a family members, so does my family. She is a part of our lives for almost 8 years. She is still my baby even she is about 4o years older than me(animal life span sometimes is 7 times faster than human life span). She was, she is , she will be my baby no matter what.(She is getting fatter, hopefully, don't become obese).
