My First UK Blog Post - A View from My Window

This year was crazy - 2014. The workload was okay but the uncertainties were definitely high. So, after years of dreaming to study in overseas and all, I finally had my wish came true as a Ph.D student. Hahahaha, kinda old to keep on studying, but gonna keep going on!

It is of course a great opportunity, since I am running off to United Kingdom (UK) for a year. So far, everything treats me okay, except for the weather - reasons >>>the temperature difference between morning and evening can be > 10 DegC. Yes, for this reason, I have suddenly suffer from minor migraine - which in my entire life, this is not an issue. I can't stay up late in UK, can't boil midnight oil>>> maximum drop-sleep time is 1145pm. @@

Anyhow, the groceries here and food here (I mean from supermarket) are quite affordable in the sense that it won't kill off your wallet at the end of the month. No car for me, good for diet! Hahahaha, people here are quite polite until it is frightening at one point. And, at Nottingham here, I feel quite cosy. It is a city with nice buildings and architectures and great food.

As for the utility bill, it is still quite a weird arrangement. For water bill, we prepaid an estimated water usage for 6 months @@. As for electricity bill, we need to submit our own tariff reading, else they will calculate based on past record. This is a whole culture shock to me (^^).

This sums up my current life. I have been so busy with research etc. At one point, I was so phobia of writing even a single word. It actually took me a lot of determination to write this post and select the fine pictures above.

Never thought that this post is actually 9 months apart. Great that my posts productivity declined greatly, because I am living a real life or Am I? By the way, my bloglink also changes over here to xjion89.blogspot.co.uk . Guess because I am in UK. Hahahahaha. Keep in touch and keep supporting my blogs.

Cheeeeers,

6大《涨》- 6 big Increase, Word of Year 2013

"If you want your children to keep their feet on the ground, put some responsibility on their shoulders", by Abigail Van Burent/  Pauline Philips, Author and Radio Host.

Since 2013, we had been stormed with exciting news from pilihanraya to price hikes. Price hikes currently is the hottest of all in 2013 until 2014. For non-Chinese readers/ Mandarin illiterate, the word 《涨》 can be described as increase/ increment. Basically, Malaysia government decided to adapt this word as their political move. Therefore, regardless of races, languages, etc, this will affect us all, Malaysian directly.......

The increment of price is to aim reducing the subsidies provided in various sector as a step to improve country income. These numerous increments in prices have somehow burdened the lives of normal citizens. Therefore, let list down the prices increment announced this year:

  • 20 cents increase in diesel and Ron 95 (Aftermath- a foreseeable domino effect in the increase of daily items prices.
  • 34 cents increase in sugar/kg basis (Aftermath - a direct increase in food and beverages, ie: some hawkers stall took chances to increase 50 cents to RM 1.00)
  • Pork prices have been increased again (Aftermath - eat expensive pork-products especially during Chinese New Year)
  • 15% increase in electricity tariff (Aftermath - a burn in the wallet despite as-claimed by governmental sector that only a small portion of users will be affected, i.e.: electricity usage less than RM77 will typically unaffected)
  • 50 cents to RM2.00 increase in road toll (Aftermath - cost-hike in transportation for motorists, need more money to use the road)
  • Up to 300% increase in state servants salary (Aftermath - more people want to join politics, me toooooo!!!!)

In personal point of view, reducing subsidies perhaps is the way to achieving developed status. However, to such a drastic extent, it will either break or make a country. A sharp increase in daily and business life definitely will take a toll in development instead. A stage-introduction of reduction should be a better way!

Based on the summary, it can be seen that a lot of people will  be disgruntled (learn a nice world recently from uni), unhappy, burdened, etcc................. a tiring post indeed....................Needless to say more (IKAT PERUT) -

2014 will be a difficult and expensive Year

Lost World, Another Adventure!

After the Kellie Castle trip, we headed straight to Lost World Tambun. As local Perakian, it was the first time for all of us to visit this hidden location. The entrance wasn't that cheap and you also require to prepare extra cash for the renting the "pelampung". We were so not prepared financially at all, have to "korek" from our pockets.

The interior was well-design despite it was still considered to be quite small compared to other theme parks. From street food to greenery mountain to mini-zoo, the concept was quite astonishing to fully utilise the nature in this area. Another interesting part of the theme park was hotspring integration. But, let me reassure that not every day is suitable for hot spring bath in Perak. The weather was blazing hot to an extend that we were boiled in the hotspring - double jeopardy@@ Recommendation: Check weather to ensure it is not too hot.

You can even spot some swans there ! Both black and white!!!!!!

How do you don't love the nature in Perak. However, recently on my way back to Ipoh, I can see a lot of hills being exploded and exploited for the granite/ lime stone. My guess was due to the virtual high demand of housing properties in Malaysia, more concrete materials are required.....Hopefully, government can properly control and ensure over-exploitation is preventable.

The Ugly Truth of Bile Bear

Adapted from Sin Chew 2012

With all the hazy news recently, I was on a short escape back to Ipoh - A Heaven! Reason?! It is practically almost haze free. Anyway, to avoid the possible of exposure to air pollutants like CO,CO2, SO2, etc, I stayed inside my palace-feel home.

In the midst of updating my blog, I found a horrible news from my photo albums. The Bile bear aka the CAGED BLACK BEARS.  Based on Sin Chew Daily 2012, it reported a news on the cruelty on the black bear as they were not only being caged and were forced to wear a corset-like device to extract their liver juice directly from their bodies!!!! It is basically like performing a surgery without anesthetics.....

What was more disgusting was that Fang Shuting, director of the China Association of Traditional clamied that the harvesting process as harmless as “turning on a tap” [1].

Regardless any living beings, with the body being cut open without consent, it definitely would not be like opening a tap. Another horrific news from China. Hence, it is urged to:

SAY NO TO THIS CLAIM-TO-BE-EFFECTIVE HERBAL INGREDIENT!!!

The Ever-Moving Chop Yong Restaurant

Procrastination, a thief of time? Yes, indeed, I have been a strong procrastinator since the time I know myself. Hahaha, anyhow, Chop Yong Restaurant, an ever-on-the-move restaurant moved for the 3rd time. The photos below was taken in the 2nd move.

Photobucket
It was located in the wet market area. Sadly, with such frequently relocation, it would be difficult to build up the customer list. Oh well, I am not the expert here.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Despite not a big fan of dragonfruit, I have fondness towards its juice(^^)~ The other 1 is the "sally" juice with sour prunes. (Can anybody tell me the real name of "Sally"?) The simple corn was quite nice 2!

Photobucket
A simple meal for 4! Taufu, vegetable, ginger chicken and Thai fried chicken. Overall, the taste of the dishes were really home-like. The price was quite reasonable!

The only problem is that you have to find its current location!!!! Really like the Moving Castle.!!! hahahaha~

Job Hunting Is Never Easy - Advice Needed

Photobucket
It had been more than a month since my graduation. Ever since then, I have been looking for job non-stop. Despite graduated in a Master Degree, it seems to be futile in searching for a job for me ~ I wonder why~ Most of my friends already found some fantastic jobs; only a few left (including me) still hanging around. I don't mind sitting at home; but the peer pressure is really enormous.

The Reasons I Couldn't Find A Job
  1. Speed - some of my coursemates already applied job way before graduation. Yes, in this competitive world, we have to be fast (><)
  2. Timing - currently a lot of universities just had their graduations; therefore, this means more people fighting for the same position.
  3. Interview skill - I wonder, is my communication skills that bad? I think my confidence is getting lower ....lower....lower....Will I die without a job (@@)?????
  4. Technical skill - I believe my results are quite fine. But, still it is so hard to get an interview....
  5. Choosy - I don't think I am, I applied any jobs on Jobstreet but it takes forever to get a reply; after waiting month long, it just stated that position closed (@@)..Heart-broken......
  6. Resume - Is it my resume not nice? Haizzzzz~~~~~
Until now, I got only 4 interviews with no feedback. Perhaps, it is time for me to rethink, replan, revise my previous action plans. Maybe, I am still lacking of interview skills here ........Anyhow, if you have any job related to environmental or chemical engineering, please just leave a commment.....Or, better stilll, give me some good advice in job hunting....(><) Hopefully, one day, I will dance like the dancing light in the picture. Nice illumination using a cloth (^^)

Geeky Me: Hotmail to Outlook (^^)

Every now and then, I hate my hotmail a lot. Not only the loading speed is horrible, the attachment is slow and sometimes, some emails were lost on the way to the recipients; And, I was only notified a day later (@@). But, I still reluctant to change my hotmail to gmail, yahoo mail ... because hotmail was my 1st email. Moreover, I hate the advertisement on the right side; always ter-click the ads (><)

After 8 years of waiting, hotmail (Microsoft) finally decided to upgrade the system to outlook. Below is the generally outlook of Outlook! It is easier to navigate and the design is so much simpler without the hassle from advertisement. On the right side, the colour panel is available for colours selection despite lack of design. I believe they will add more options soon?~~~

Then, the email panel also undergoes a drastic change as below. My mom had a shock of her life when I persuaded her to upgrade to Outlook. The addresses will be inserted on the left side. I am so in-love with this interface. Then, the easy navigation to contact also quite impressive; therefore, I highly recommend you all to upgrade to Outlook bah; Just 1 click away (^^)

Anyhow, it had been quite a while I post something on IT stuff. I still remember I was such a nerd last time. Now, arrrr, I am totally normal; I prefer to be nerdy (><)...Tatatata~

Malaysia Current (Forever) Unresolved Issues ~ Crime, Education and Environment

(1) Crime Status in Malaysia
Even since I started my university life, I was so oblivious of Malaysia current issues. I didn't subscribe to any newspapers. After graduated, I can finally start to focus on current issues. Today, I read a special edition of Sin Chew Daily. Basically, above image tells you almost everything. The main context is that "Who let the criminals become so haughty (arrogant)?" (Don;t mind my translation).

While the police side keeps on assuring the citizens of Malaysia that Malaysia is the 16th safest place in the world, horrible murdering cases keep on popping up. The author of the article stated that it is not the media fault for emphasizing the crime in Malaysia; the real culprit is the criminals. What the author said is true!  Do you see any police cars ronda-ing at your neighbourhood? The policemen are getting salary from the taxpayers; at least, set up a patrol team in DARK ZONE!If you follow HK drama (don;t whether is true or not), they have police on the street to take care of the safety of the people there. Anyhow, the special edition focuses on 7 viewpoints as follow:

  1. Men: Used to be the protector of the family and women; but, now, they themselves are the targets of robbers, snatch thieves..... They are having problems to protect themselves..(><)
  2. Women: Often victims in many cases. Right now, even walking in shopping is dangerous to the ladies ~~ horrible
  3. Elderly : Last time, Kampung home was the heaven to them. It was peaceful and all. But, nowadays, the thieves break into the house 1st without considering whether the old people have money or not ~~~ not safe anymore. Impossible you can let the gate unlock before going to sleep like last time.
  4. Children: Easily targeted or kidnapped for ransom and others. The streets in Malaysia full of evil people waiting to strike when you turn your back just for a sec !
  5. Housewives : This is interesting because, housewives are often the victim of snatch thieves when they go out to do groceries shopping. An infamous case in Penang recently shocked the hell out of the people when 5 passers-by decided to ignore an injured victim of snatch thief ><
  6. Family: Whole family being tied up and robbed isn't anything new anymore. 4 years ago, I was still shocked to hear about this. But now, it has become so COMMON ! This means that the condition didn't improve at all.
  7. Business: Even doing businesses in some places are not that easy anymore, Cheras is one of the places which most of the shoplots are installed with gates.
Should police blame on the media on telling the citizens' truth happened in Malaysia ? No! If there isn't any cases for them to report, obviously, they will find other news!

(2) Education and University Admission
I am just glad that I am always the last batch in every decision-changing of education system. I am proud to say that I learnt mathematics and science in Malay. Then, they changed to English education which was supposed to be better. Recently, they decided to change back to Malay again~ Flip Flop ! Eventually, the student produced will be inconsistent.

University Admission and scholarship -  STPM and SPM full As can't get full scholarship. This is the old news for 10 years already! Please reveal the selection process to be fair to everyone! Why a matriculation student (sorry to some of my friends, i am not criticizing matriculation students) is given privilege 1st in course selection? Are they more superior for their course is only 1 year long? I am sure most of you know how tough STPM could be ~ Extra-curriculum might play a factor; but, a lot of academic-excellent students did their best to fulfill the requirement.

(3) Environmental Conservation
I have been very fond of pandas; I even had a panda toy which is bigger than the size of a baby. As I grew up, I gave away my toys. Again, I am not criticizing the panda, but, why we would spend so much money to import 2 pandas to Putrajaya (not the Zoo Negara) (report $1 million per year for the loan for 10 years). While some may argue, the approval of the panda loan signifies the strong relationship between Malaysia and China. However, it is best that the animal stays at their origin. Anyhow, I believed that panda is well-conserved in China. How about the animals in Malaysia? I simply google and get a list of endangered species in Malaysia:

  1. Orang Utan
  2. Tapir
  3. Rhinoceros
  4. Penyu
  5. Tiger
  6. black shrew
With the money spent to build a living ground in Putrajaya wetland, this not only doesn't consider the tourism potential, the money invested could be used to save our own endangered species. ~~~ I have to say that I really know nothing about politics; my heart is to conserve the environment in Malaysia.

Anyhow, in the older news, there were even illegal logging in Perak state which further destroyed the habitats of the wildlife. I also observed that there are some mountains in Ipoh becoming "botak". Hmmmm~~~~~

It is easy to comment! Perhaps, government is doing their best effort to curb this situation. However, even if you give 150%, THE OUTCOME IS BAD MEANS IS BAD. I think most of us just want to see IMPROVEMENT, that's all and no more~~~~

The Unhealthy Property Development in Ipoh, Perak?

Ipoh is a beautiful city located in Perak state. It is widely well-known to be a food heaven and a perfect retiring spot! The environment there is still not too developed. However, recently, when I make trip back to Ipoh, it seems to be developing quite fast. There are so many shop lots and cars in Ipoh now!

Well, it is kinda great to see such development; but, I felt sad to see the gradual increase in pollution around the city. Then, the biggest issue comes to my mind. Despite all the happening events in Ipoh, the price of material, food, transportation and houses is also increasing.

Photobucket

For instance, the mee I usual eat was just around RM2. Now, it already sky-rocketed to RM5 (almost equivalent to KL rate). Anyway, the most outrageous is the newly-built houses in Ipoh. Well, I don't want to mention which developer, but, in such ways, it actually puts heavy burden on fresh graduates and other working people. In Ipoh, it is not easy to find a high-paid job! Now, the salary didn't increase for years, but the houses' price are extremely expensive!

Now, 1stly, I think almost whole Malaysia's properties are like increasing crazily!!!!! @@~ This of course also affects Ipoh's property to increase. But, does Ipoh have that many people to buy property??? Is it necessary to build so many houses there? Is the population in Ipoh increasing? A semi-D in Ipoh is more expensive than in places like Serdang ---- around RM700k...A bit speechless when I read the advertisement! A bungalow cost RM 1 million @@~~~~~~~WOW, Ipoh, i thought is one of the poorest cities in the country....

If a fresh graduate just got a job with salary of RM 2500, is he or she capable to the houses in Ipoh? NO ~~~~~~~ Since the houses here is almost equivalent to KL, why don't people buy in KL? Therefore, instead of letting the developers keep on building non-stop, government should really take time to review such development whether is healthy or not. At least, they should control the volume and the price of the house. If too many houses are built with less demand, it would only cost the price of the houses to fall! If too few houses are built, it would cost the price to shoot as high as Mount KK!

And, lastly, Ipoh is such a  beautiful place with quite a lot of natural heritage! I hope that government should provide proper planning on the development!!!!!!! Don't just build for the sake of development and economy! Environment is still the most important!

Fatt Ji @Semenyih

Photobucket

The 1st time I stepped foot in this restaurant for a friend birthday celebration. Oh yes, it seems that I always help my friend to celebrate birthday.Really no money already! Hope tat they will repay in the future..hohohoho~

Anyway, this post is intended for good food (^^)~ Located in Semenyih, an used-to-be ulu place (developing fast thanks Nottingham Malaysia), this little restaurant is just opposite the famous temple in Semenyih central!
Photobucket
The 1st dish was the taufu with meat pieces. Surprisingly, it was quite nice! Loving the steamy feel of this pic~

Photobucket

The fried pork was quite well done too! Despite a bit over-fried, it was totally fulfilling our tastebuds.!

Photobucket
As healthy people, we also ordered numerous of mushroom dishes with a lot of vegetables. Always meat, it will definitely sicken your tummies! So, take some veges as often as possible is good (^^)

I think this is a relatively short post ~~~ (><) It seems that my holiday will end soon. Need to settle all the personal stuffs and ready to start my new sem!!!! Wish me all the best (><)!!!

KTM just Gave The Nation an Unforgettable Merdeka and Hari Raya Celebration!

I sudah balik-ed kampung~ Therefore, today, I decided to take the 3 something bus to return to KL. It was a bit jammed at Simpang Pulai. However, after that, the journey was all smooth until the real nightmare came into my life!

The bus dropped me at the KL Central. Obviously, to reach my place, I needed to take the KTM ~~~ (><)!!!! So, I reached there around 6.30 p.m. I was thinking it would not be as crowded as the usual days because of the holiday. Think again, I was super wrong! When i reached the platform, it was truly a sea of people! Basically, most of them were foreign workers! Yup, they really conquered KL during holiday!!!!~~

Well, the sea of humans weren't horrifying; but, the never-coming trains were definitely terrifying! From 6.35 p.m, the train did come; but, it was impossible for me to squeeze inside the train at all because of my luggage. Then, for the past 1.5 hours, I was stuck there with a huge crowd and barely could breathe without air-condition!

The broadcaster kept on saying because of technical problem between Bank Negara and KL stations; therefore, only 1 rail could be used! I was like even if 1 rail could be used at a time, there would be a way to balance the time and the train because usually the trains came at different time. Oh well!

Finally, I was able to push my way into the train. Then, there were people shouting and pushing. Yup, currently, I am full of bruises and cuts! There was this girl finally could not stand it and shouted out:

I beh tahan; biar saya turun!!!!~~

I should have followed her. For the journey on the train, I was super uncomfortable with people pressing on me and I could not move and my heong piang all ruined!!!!!!!!!!!~~~I was sweating from inside and outside!!! People inside the train were all talking and laughing; Yes, Maggie, their smells were more horrible than me!!!!~ Oh please, when there are so many people in the train, please shut up because you are taking a lot O2!!!~

Anyway, "thanks" to KTM for making this a "wonderful" and unforgettable celebration of Merdeka Day and Hari Raya celebration!!!! You always give me "good" memories!

Pudu Central (The Old Puduraya)

Photobucket

The old Puduraya has finally gone through an extreme makeover! Abundant of money was invested into the renovation process. Wah lah, here is the exterior design of the new Pudu Central! To me, the exterior design is not that important~

Let's go inside and have a look!

Photobucket

Well, the interior is majestically white! Most of the shop lots are still empty. But, the design is still lack of consideration! The ticket booths are situated at the 1st floor. And, before that, there is a staircase that we need to take before getting to the elevator! Imagine that old people need to carry their luggage and walk the stairs@@~~

Photobucket

The atmosphere there is cool because of the internal air-condition. There are ample of spaces for the visitors. So, no worry for not having enough seats! Of course, there are numerous of the digital screens to show the visitors the departure time and platform. This, I give credit~

Photobucket

The passage way to the bus terminal is beautifully designed. But, it is not really convenient for the visitors because the sign on how to open the doors is so small~~ Very paiseh leh, I had a hard time finding the button there..hohohoho~~~

Malaysia - Truly Wasting Money Like Water

Wow, the world is falling apart! With mega countries facing natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, forest fires, and any unimaginable events, Malaysia is also taking a great "leap" in developing its tourism sector, building sector and etc.

  1. The dunno-how-many-million 100 Mega Tower
  2. The 1.8 million webpage development
  3. The ISTANA~~~Wow, that 1 is......
So, first of all, why do we need another higher tower when we already have KL TOWER and TWIN TOWERS as the perfect display representation of Malaysia as a strong country. Renting out a 100-storey office is totally not easy~~~ When people have a lot of money and time, they will start to think of crazy stuffs and unrealistic stuffs.

Halo, Can you spend the money in useful places like transportation development. There are still so many places could not be assessed by train. Why not put the money in good place? Use them wisely to create a nation with one of the best train system in the world since Malaysia loves to be No.1 ! Of course, before that, look at the current KTM performance, super duper lousy! Improve it 1st before do anything else!

Then, 1.8 million to create webpages. Ok, fine. If you need that kind of money to do publicity~ But, when it comes to facebook, the charge is FOC? You need to hire programmers and web developers to design the stuffs, I also get it! However, the thing is that the money is definitely not well-spent because currently only 30k ppl like the page. Liking the page doesn't mean that the tourism is good and making money even when the like hits 120K by the end of the year!

So, my suggestion is that instead of using such money, find sponsors like PETRONAS, AIRASIA, MAS....I believe they will be thrilled to give the money! Then, organise a National Web Developing contest to award the winner with suitable amount of prize money and honour! Like that, not only the money can be saved, government can even make money and attract more local talents to serve the country!!!!!~~~This is just a simple business plan. SO , are you telling me that this is not workable?

Lastly, I can hardly comment of the PALACE (Istana). So, they need a new place to stay? Oh well, instead of purely becoming a residential area, make it to be a grand palace that is accessible as a museum or even a beautiful botanical garden. If not, the whole lot of land there will be wasteddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

Above all this, government is telling us that they don't have the money to send students to overseas anymore?????????@@ Speechless~~~

The Annual Dinner 2011 on April Fool!

These days, life is so hard. A year 3 student faces enormous stress. Some of my friends who chose 3 year course unlike me who chose 4 year course are leaving this year! Oh yeah, just like that, a majority of my coursemates are starting a new chapter in their lives. Haiz, a bit regret though, I should have chosen 3 years. Oh well, I don't really have any choice. Now, I am sure that a year 4 student will face nerve-breaking stress!

Stop with the ranting. Since there is 1 more year left before my own graduation, it is time to make a lot of great memories!!!!!!~~(^^) Starting with Annual Dinner 2011 at Sunway Hotel and Spa. Well, we were rushing to the dinner thanks to the stupid coursework submission on the same day and also the traffic jam!!!!~~

Photobucket

At last, after encountering a detour when the only road to Sunway was blocked, we took another route to the destination and thanked to my bro's GPS, we were saved(^^)

Photobucket

Well, obviously, the decoration in the ball room was amazing! We paid RM140 for the event! However, when we reached there, we were all worn out. My normal hyper-active energy was all gone. I just felt tired, sleepy and cranky! Not that I wanted to complain, everything was just a bit bland to me from the decoration to the food to the Emcee. However, friends will always be the best cure for all those stuffs^^!!!!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Talking about the food, it was great at 1st. Then, everything just got worse! The second photos' food was just so too much! Vegetable + nuts. Oh my, of course, the 1st dish with the dragon fruit decor was really nice!

Photobucket
The Couple~~~~~
Photobucket
The gang

After dinner, it was the greatest moment of the annual dinner! Phototaking session~~~~~~ We were snapping like crazy(^^)! As the crazy/over/partime/dream to be wedding photographer, I took some photos that myself like very much ooooooo(^^)~~~ I was like doing a wedding shoot for them(^^) Of course, as a gang of friends who was going separate ways soon, we took a nice group photo before heading to Ministry of Sound (MOS).

I was a bit unsatisfied with this year annual dinner because everything was so pricey! Believe me, even the uni organiser sent out an email to explain (@@)........Not only it increased from RM120 to RM140, it also didn't include the after party ticket for MOS like previous year!!!!! Yes, price increased with less benefits~~~~~However, again, friends are the best cure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let' have another great year my friend!
For those who are leaving, have a great future and don't forget to visit us when you all are freeeee(^^)

The Coming Back Post of Xjion89 Who is Everywhere(^^)

Oh yes, finally ended my final exam this semester! It was the most most most most horrible year ever, and I believe that the worst is yet to come(><). Oh yes, this was a hectic semester that nearly "killed" me! And, my final examination, it was terrible because all those papers were freaking hard! It was really a YEAR 3 paper standard or even maybe higher because most of my modules are for Year 3 and Year 4 students. Therefore, this year, most of papers were reinvented to put up the standard.(><)!!!!~~I think 3/4 of my papers are really dead!

Yet, this is the end of Year 3 Sem 1 Chapter! (A Dreadful 1) with Steamboat Style

Anyway, Xjion89 a.k.a Jay is finally bek!!!!!~Due to final examination and busy research project, I barely have any time to blog. Now, after my exam, I still have to go back to uni to do experiment before my CNY celebration (><)~~Haiz, it is not easy to be a student! So, in case I am not enuf time to blog, I started some extra social networks to keep me, my readers and blogger friends connect.

Xjion89 wishes to have MEGAMIND(><) to beat the rude couple!

With all the reading and typing around, I really need a Megamind to do that! Oh yeah, no kidding! Apart from my year long research project, I have another semester long project, and not to mention, I din touched my notes at alllll!!! Anyway, with my world falling apart, I still find time to watch yet another movie - MEGAMIND !

Before the screening, there was a little disruption which the show supposed to start at 9pm , but postponed to 9.30pm. Me and my bro was unaware of the delay. Therefore, we confidently flashed the tickets to the usher, but we were blocked. We stepped back in front of the lane (which I thought was just a crowd). Then, the 2 person behind us were mumbling! Then, a couple I guessed, start to talk (mumble) like this behind us:

  • Girl: Yerr, the guy in front me smells (refer to me). [I was already not syiok, i bathed ok]
  • Guy: [Cantonese] We queued here 1st and for so long. Only we have to queue. Why act so *****(Cantonese foul language)
  • Me: If you want to express your thought, please talk to my face not my back. Or, just ask us to leave.
  • Bro: Sorry ar, we din know.

Then, I walked away. So rude lah, those people! We didn't know, if we are blocking your queue, ask us nicely to leave. Don't have to stab us from behind and use foul language, no class at all! Somemore, we were in Mivalley ! Please act politely in public!Anyway, because of the delay and rude couple, I was already in bad mood liao! The screening was rather unorganised because after running for 10 mins, it suddenly stopped!@@ !!!! However, the thing that bright up my day (night) was MEGAMIND! It was hilarious!!!!^^

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The whole plot was quite creative by twisting the stories. Megamind who was supposed to be the bad guy (or destined to be) finally killed the Metro Man (good guy). But, as the story went by, it was really funny from beginning to the end! Not to forget the other supporting casts like Minion, Roxanne, they gave me the feel of superman and Lois Lane. I don;t want to reveal much! But, watching so many movies (Adele, Sammy), Megamind is my fav!!!!!~~~

Rating: 8/10 for the humour!!!!^^

Black and White Water!

Oh gosh! Sorry guys, I just started my Year 3, 1st Semester this Monday! It was as crazy as ever with the packed timetable and my own stupidity commitment to join a poster designing contest! Just finished the poster today and with the help of my unimates, we were able to pass up our artworks (Yeah, what a relief!).

But, more to come, because I joined another contest (><)~ Taking too much commitment really makes me super duper busy(><)~~~Anyway, as chaotic as it seems, I still keep holding on! So, I won't be able to visit your blogs as often as I did during my holidays! I really need to focus more this year because my results dropped like crazy!

I think I should blame it on the water quality in KL. Well, do I need to say more? From the picture above, you all definitely have a clear view on the conditions of the water here. Oh yes, it took a couple of days to dirty my filter core. And replacing it, it took about 20 mins to dirty it again(><)~~~

No time to rant! I still have another task to attend to! Haiz, guys just wish me luck and keep supporting my blog!~(^^)

Flowery Farewell for Her @Floria Putrajaya

These 2 days, I had been busy farewell-ing a friend of mine! It seems that I am busier during holiday! I have a lot of unfinished chores, works, and even some extra projects to do. Haiz, all of these are most probably my own fault to make myself busy! Anyway, today, this post is specially dedicated for a girl! Yes, not just any girl in town! She is my big sister lah!!!!Hahaha, apparently, she is going to Australia to live with my bro-in-law. So, it is almost 2 months already since she left. Nothing will ever be the same! But, we can't always expect life to be the same, right?

I know that Floria Putrajaya, this event ended a long time already. But, the scent, the colour are still vividly printed in my senses! Yes, this post is for you, my sis! If you read this, aren't you glad that we went for Floria instead of sleeping at home..Hahaha!

Warning: This post will be filled with photographs! So, please be patient while waiting for the photos to be loaded!~~~Btw, I used one of the photos for Merdeka Celebration Post(^^)@ here~

floria 2010

It was quite far away! Yes, it was within within Putrajaya! But, luckily we managed to find it! After parking the car, we marched into the exhibitions. The admission was free! and, one thing I must complain!!!! It was baking-hot outside; therefore, they should at least prepare for more roofings!

Now, here was the outside area! I bet it would be more beautiful if we come at night. However, due to time constraint, we could only see so much! Those white lanterns should be stunning at night!!~~

floria 2010

Of course, because of the high temperature outside, we quickly went inside the tentsthere! Inside the tent, it was a whole new exhibition of flower arts. I was snapping non-stop on the unique flower arrangement. Haiz, at this moment, I again hope for my DSLR to come into my arms. But, no, I don't have a DSLR, just have to live with my amazing Lumix FS6! Yeah!!!!~~~

floria 2010

This was one of the most amazing items in the tent! Everything was made out of plants, flowers~~~It was very chic!!!~~ It was definitely not easy to make this at all!!!~~

After the flowery visits, we went back home and rested for a while before driving to LCCT! It was quite a ride! Located so far away~~~(><) and We also had our dinner over there @ Old Town! It was by far the worst Old Town in Malaysia!!!! Service bad! Food bad!! Everything bad!!!

floria 2010

There she was! Standing there, worrying that her luggage would exceed the limits! Dear sister, hope that you will have a great start and a great life in Australia! Like the Chinese proverb - The beginning is the hardest (万事起头难)As long as you have the determination, no matter how much time you use, you will definitely find your path there! Enjoy your new life there!

All the best to you! May you find a fruitful path in Australia!!!!(^^)
