10 Things I wish knew or did before 25

This is finally an official post from me in 2015. Yes, almost a quarter of the year 2015 gone by!  This month also marks my 6th month in Nottingham, United Kingdom. These few months I felt less accomplished ever not because I did not work hard or so, is just that life has begun to give a huge toll on me recently.  Yes, I have passed the 25-year-old line. This means I am a young adult in Europe countries and more significantly I am reached another stage of life. My friends have been sharing some post on 25 things we should do/ know before 25. It is very intriguing to see what other 25-year-old going through. And, here is my version of top 10:

1. You are bound to be hurt no matter how good are you!
This is extremely true. Some people like you and some people just despise for no apparent reason. Even though you are at your very best personally and professionally, some PEOPLE just like to torture you with their own agenda. Oh yes, so my advice is "don't give a f*** what they think, just be yourself and keep on kicking a**. We control our emotion, not others!

2. Friends come and go, family and true friends stay
We just need a small group of genuine friends. They will be there whenever you need moral support. My advice is don't friend with others just because you are lonely. You should give time to those who really want to connect with you. Because by the age of 25, your so-called big group friend will just dissolve anyway. So, give time to true friends and family! We are actually on the way to be parted from our family as they can't be at our side forever. Treasure the time talking with your family and pets.

3. Travel more when you are young
So far, I am lucky to be able to travel in different countries. Don't join the typical tour! Plan your own trip even though it will be hard and frustrating sometimes. I have more concrete memory of my own trip instead of those agency tour.

4. Don't worry! No matter how experience/ old you are, you will still be cheated!
From my personal experience, people will tend to hide some important facts. I have met people who told you everything is well-arranged. But, the situation is not what it seems. Then, those people will just keep on pretending those promises were not made. Oh well, take this as a lesson! This is the process of growing up and moulding to be part of society. People lie, that's it!

5. Don't compare yourself to your peers
There will only be one Steve Jobs, Bill Gates in that era. There will only be one Mark Zuckerberg in new era. Yes, just be happy ! The criteria to be successful is never clear. As long as you are contented and happy, that counts!

6. Education is not everything. To be successful, you need more than grades
Kindergarten, Primary school, Secondary school and University are just a phase in life. They constitute major part of our lives, but not everything. We can excel in University, but, we can still be left behind in life if we are not improving. Darn, I am still in my Ph.D course (contradicting statement). You can have a perfect score in every exam. But this will not bring you far if you lack of those essential social skills. What I believe (friend please don't kill me for this) is that usually the most successful bunch of friends are those whose academic results are just average (2nd upper, 2nd lower). You can score 100 marks in math, but you can't solve an actual engineering question. What is the use?

7. Everybody fails something
I failed my additional math before this! I failed my Chinese essay examination. Excruciating as they seemed, I pull it through! Failure makes one stronger!

8. Save money,  invest as early as possible and learn those financial part
If I knew (if ) that Kuala Lumpur housing would rise 200% in 2015 as compared to 2009, I would have told my dad to buy as many properties as possible. But we can't predict our future. What we can do is to save up and one day when it is affordable, we would readily pay for the downpayment. Another point is that invest ASAP from public mutual to stocks. What we earn will never to able to follow the rise of living cost. That's why we must learn to save and invest the money wisely. When I am talking about financial, I mean your income, tax and expenditure. We just have to keep balance of those in life!

9. Find time to consider you like and realise it
I thought I like one thing. But, after some time, I find that it was just a misconception from public/ friends/ family. You will never know unless you try it. But, never ever rush into things even though we have a lifetime to amend our mistakes!!!!!!!!! I wish that I took my language classes seriously, if not, I will be fluent in Japanese and Spanish now.

10. Life will always be a learning curve
24 years ago, I learnt to talk and walk
20 years ago, I learnt to write
15 years ago, I learnt to make friends and be silly
10 years ago, I learnt to memorise for my test
8 years ago, I learnt to make my own decision in education
3 years ago, I learnt to earn for a living
1 year ago, I learn to adapt a brand new environment

If you ever come across my blog, these 10 things are some personal experiences from me! If you are in your 20, treasure every day and every moment because I just lost my 6 years of youth in a flash! hahahaha, I just can't believe it because it was like a couple months ago when Kelly Clarkson won American Idol 13 years ago!

Life is a journey, so simple, yet so complicated. Along the way, people come and go. We can't always have everything we want in life. But, it is no harm trying!  One last note: be yourself and happy because life is too short!

Nottingham Castle Journey

“I think it’s very healthy to spend time alone. You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person.” by Oscar Wilde, Irish writer and poet.

Almost every city in UK, there will be a castle and cathedral. Owing to UK unique history, the places I visited so far has this kind of city structure. York, Nottingham, Lincoln, and more to come have their lovely church and castle even though most of them are smaller in size.

Nottingham Castle is situated very near to the city, especially the Broadmarsh Shopping Mall. In normal days, the admission to Nottingham Castle is about  £5.50 (include museum, but exclude the underground tour). However, if there is any special event, maybe you can enter for free.  Basically, castles in UK are usually built in highlands, sames goes to Nottingham Castle. This gives an amazing panoramic view in the castle.

The are two museums in Nottingham Castle, one is on hillside, another one is at the lowland just besides the Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem pub (famous pub). The entrance to both museums is included in the £5.50. However, as stated earlier, the underground tour cost me another £4, which was guided by a speaker explaining the origin and development of the castle.

Nottingham is also famous of Robin Hood, being one of the most recognisable characters around the world. Oh yes, I didn't know that. So, whenever you are here, it is more than common to snap a photo with Robin Hood. Yup, bow and arrow is like his signature !!!

The Renovation of My Little World from 2010 - 2014

In my latest blog design, I find myself going extremely simple in everything. Perhaps, I have matured along the way with high tendency to seek for a more convenient of life. Hahahaha, I believe I am experiencing the mid-life crisis. Anyway so far, it has been a year since I changed my theme. This time around, I was spending quite some time to do research on how to give a simple look on my blog. I removed all the fancy gadgets, background image and gave it a less clutter look. Other than that, here are some of the tips I used for my bloggie design, mainly referenced from http://helplogger.blogspot.co.uk/:

  1. How to align the blog header image - this was quite a frustrating experience in blogger template adjustment. But the code from here solved my problem
  2. How to optimise google search for blog post title -  As the post title always started with the blog title, this gives a less attractive search results for the posts. Please find the self-explanatory from here.
  3. Removed the blogger bar (can be done now) which make my blog looks more clean.
  4. Gave a new blogger image (^^) with description on who I am. Finally a mini-masquerade mask pic taken in Venice!
  5. Gave a new blog header image, also taken in Venice.
  6. Added the facebook like button, which is quite good for publicity. And, so far, only this post worked for my blog.

This basically sum up the minor yet time-consuming edits!!!!!!!

Just as life will always goes on and earth will always spin, My Little World has been transformed for so many times that I lost count. My regret now is that I did not save a printsceen of my blog designs previously. Thank goodness with https://archive.org/web/, I manage to retrieve some of blog interfaces I applied last time from 2010 and 2014. Yet, many were lost.

Oh gosh, 2010 was a dark year for me? I don't exactly remember why it was so dark. Then 2011, I decided to go green, Oh yes, I still remembered the Japanese Garden's bridge which was used as the blog header pics.

Then, in 2012, I decided to give a more messy design, which the background pics were taken in Dreamz Bakery . Over the year in 2013, I was back to simple design with brownish background.

In later of 2013, I was having a liking to yellow designs thanks to the Hard Rock image taken in Penang. As you can see in 2014, my life has gotten slightly complicated. Therefore, any simple gestures/ designs/ lives/ happiness seems to be my cup of tea.

If you are missing out some of the blog design/ or you wonder how was your blog evolve/ mutate over the years, you can always try to find it using https://archive.org/web/

United Kingdom Adventure: Nottingham

Oh Oh Oh!!!!! In a flash, I have been in the United Kingdom for 3 months! 9 more months before I return to my lovely home country, Malaysia! Hahahaha, anyhow, here is it! The houses in Nottingham look as above - red bricks with chimney!!!!!! So far, this area is quite peaceful and very near with University Park of Nottingham.

To the city, I can see that the city council of Nottingham actually seems to be quite like a mini white house of USA. The architecture in UK definitely is an eye-opening to me because it is very hard to find such buildings in Malaysia. This seem-to-be peaceful old market square often hosts different events! Now, it houses the Wonderland of Christmas Market which I might be covering in the future, hopefully!!!!

Oh yes, looking the cars here in UK! I was so lucky to bump into a wedding at the city council! The black car for the bride and the red bus for the guests! Such a beautiful event !

Yup, this is the city of Nottingham with nice food and beautiful buildings! In the next post, I will be covering the Nottingham Castle! Oh yes, there are too many castle in Nottingham. Till then, tata (^^)

Libra Star Cruise Adventure Part 1

Nope, this wasn't the Libra Star Cruise! It was the Logo Hope - Floating Book Fair/ Store that aims to educate people and to help needy people around the globe!

Anyway, the story in this post is solely about Libra Star Cruise. To cut the long story short, I won a pair of tickets, more precisely, a room! Therefore, I ajak my mom to join me on this cruise adventure for a night stay on the ship!!!!!
We drove to Penang to board the cruise which was located at the famous jetty - Swenttenham Pier. Yup, what a shallow me! I didn't even there was a pier named after Swenttenham - a very famous name appeared in Sejarah! Anyway, Penang was awesome (^^)

As you can see, the cruise ship was quite nice in  the exterior! Numerous entertainment facilities were available - swimming pool, CASINO, gym, restaurant, etc.... Of course, just to remind you all, despite the room was free, we still need to pay for the sea tax or something. It was not cheap though.

After all the hustle and bustle checking in, we finally arrived our lovely room! It was kinda small though. But, it was comfy enough for both me and my mom! And, the shower was amazing (^^) To our surprise, most of the crews were from China !!!!

There are several restaurants in the cruise ship! We tried the 4 Happiness restaurant 1st for our dinner. The food was quite okay (^^). Crazy variety of Chinese food, Malay food, Western....We were totally satisfied! After 1 hour + of dinner, my mom and I roamed freely checking different decks (^^)!!!!!

Then, we arrived at the pool outside. We just sat there and chilled while listening to the live band singing English oldies! Of course, occasionally we were "harassed" by the waiter to order drinks. But, it was still enjoyable!!!!!

The Story to be Continued.......

5 Meals 1 Day Edition (4.5)

It had been more than a month since my last post on the AWESOME 5 Meals 1 Day Edition. Yup, working life is busy as always; similar as study life as always. Hahahaha, anyway, this time around, I will be introducing the 5 Meals 1 Day Edition (4.5) (^^) Why 4.5? The reason is that this is not really a meal but a snack on the way to meal 5!!!!

Can you see my girlfriends running towards the stall despite it was raining!!! ???? Yes, the magical attraction, I would say! The location of this stall was quite awkward! Because it was located behind quite a busy road!!!! All sort of weird stuffs in KL (^^)

The price wasn't that expensive too! Yup,totally worth a try (^^). We packed to have the hot "Dan Dan" (so-called by my friend) on the car! Because it was really rich with the good smell and taste of eggs, that's why it was referred as "Dan Dan".

Delicious @ Bangsar

Photobucket

While still searching desperately for a job, I found back some of the photos from my uni days. Ah, how nostalgic! 4 years just passed by mercilessly. Anyhow, the picture above showed the nice restaurant - Delicious @ Bangsar. We went to this place from Midvalley (apparently, there is a Delicious Outlet there 2). My friends said that Bangsar 1 is nicer~

PhotobucketPhotobucket
I ordered a nice honey lemon tea with a three-mushroom sandwich. Despite for me, they were quite pricey, I have to say that their food is quite okay for my taste.

Photobucket

Photobucket
They offer a wide range of delicacies from local food (nasi lemak) to western gourmet (burger, spaghetti). I curi-curi all my friend's food to have a try. Overall, the taste was okay; but to the girls, you can order 1 plate of spaghetti and share because the portion was quite large (^^)

Photobucket
The birthday celebration for Elaine will never be complete with a savoury of various type of cakes (^^) My fav 1 was the cake in a glass (Tiramisu); totally worth a try (^^)

Photobucket
They are all my girl friends..hahaha, hope that we will keep in touch and when you all get married, can invite me (^^). All the best in your career (^^)

I Got Cheryl Cole Face

Have you heard of Cheryl Cole? I didn't hear of her until last year which her song "Fight for This Love" was non-stop playing in the TV and radio. She was also voted as one of the most beautiful women in the world. Anyhow, I totally forgot what I joined last year (2011). But, one fine evening, my mom called and said that I got Cheryl Cole Face!!!! Hahaha, my parents were listening to her CD as well.

Photobucket
Her cover is so nice! There are 3 songs which I love inside this album. She is quite talented. There are crazy news on her thanks to Simon Cowell. She has her career thanks to that British guy~

Photobucket
Here, I really got this gorgeous lady's face ! (^^)

Have a nice WEEKEND (^^)

I am sure that you all feel pranked! Hahahahaha~

First Live Catwalk I Watched and Remembered (Roxy/Quicksilver@Midvalley)

This is definitely overdue post, almost 1 year ago (@@). Hardly can believe that I can drag so long. Well, because I have finished most of my work, especially the dreadful FYP !!!! Yeah!!! Anyhow, 2day, the story is about Roxy/Quicksilver Fashion Show 2011 Midvalley! Let the show begins!

Photobucket

The stage is utterly nice and colours full of life! Totally in love with it! A paper art with vibrant colours!

Photobucket

Due to my low-zoom and quality of my camera, the pictures were not that clear! But, I am still quite satisfied with the pictures of beautiful people on stage!!! (Despite I am not a fan of checker-box shirt)

Photobucket

The girls were looking great on stage!Again, the human heads were blocking my camera view, too bad I couldn't take the whole body.

Photobucket

The guy were also looking stylish and cool! Oh,I only I don't have a huge tummy and tall enough, I wouldn't hesitate to walk on it..hahahaha (joking!!!)

Thank You (100) and "Dark Prince"

Photobucket

Life Update: It is crazy busy. But, procrastination seems to be always on my way. If I have the persistence, I would have finish my work. Anyhow, today, I have the persistence to take the public transportation. Yup, I think most people would know how horrible own countries PT.

Anyway, I took a risk which eventually made me miss my uni bus. Yup, I decided to take public bus to my uni. Again, I took another risk. Oh well, guess what?! Nobody actually came to fetch me at the town area (Yup, really need to increase the number of friends, hahaha) Oh well, the friends just abandoned. me So, I decided to walk 3 km - 5 km only.

When you thought everything is over, then, there came my "Dark Prince". Hahaha, sound so wrong! But, because of his generosity, I just hopped on his motorcycle; Yup, I was a bit heavy..hahahah~ Yup, today's lesson is "Persistence will reward in some ways"

Just like this almost closed-down blog, with some persistence, currently, there are 100 followers (^^). Yeah, thanks for the support ! Yup, I know this number is nothing compared to  Kennysia, ....other normal bloggers. But, it is a boost of support (^^)

Thank You "Dark Prince"
Thank You (100)

The Chronicle of Unexpected Life

It was plain funny! So, I accidentally got a free GSC gift ticket. So, I decided on the mist of going to my hometown again; I would stopped by at the Midvalley for a little detour for movie. It was either between Underworld or War Horse.

Unexpectedly, the gift ticket was only valid for normal screening@@ Thus, that time, Underworld was around 4pm (a bit late) and War Horse (2D)....Then, I was by the staff there that my gift could not redeem 2D movie. I was and am still puzzled what is the difference between 2D, 3D, and normal screening! ??? Can any body tell me?

Anyhow, unexpectedly, I had chosen to watch . Despite positive review of the movie, it wasn't my taste at all. It was filming in such that similar to and . The idea and the plot of the movie is really interesting. But, maybe at the end, they can use back the non-video style to film the movie!Or else,  it would be awesome !!!!!

This is the bad guy(Dane DeHaan)! No really, the good thing about this movie is that it bravely shows the truth of an abusive family in which it often leads to unhealthy mental development of the children. I wouldn't recommend people who are too young to watch this because it did somehow gives a bad lesson even he suffers at the end.

Here are the 3 guys who accidentally become super humans! I still think that the movie still didn't explain clearly on what happens. The left guy (Alex Russell) is apparently the good guy who is related the bad guy. The whole movie basically used all new actors!

After the movie, I ran back to my hometown again!(^^)! Oh my god!!!! It took me a freaking 5 hours to reach Ipoh at around 12.30am!!!!!!!! It was really unexpected! There was apparently a car accident there. Yup, or else, it would just be normal trip!!!!~~~

The Snail and The Bug - The Fight To Be The Next Top Model?

Photobucket

I love to take photos of small animals. They are constantly inspiring me in every way. Despite their beauty, they make no easy model for me. They don't understand human words nor do they pose according to my desire. Therefore, as soon as they find out that someone is taking photos of them, they will start to avoid my lens! I love the challenge! I love my pics are not perfect (Hope that I will get a new DSLR in the future (><)) Anyhow, using my beautiful compact camera, I really learn a lot. If you know how to use a tool, a simple rock can kill a fierce monster!

Anyhow, this photo was taken in my mom's garden. I spotted this little cutie snail loitering at the purple plant. Immediately, I grabbed my camera and started to take photo non-stop. However, another cute little bug invaded the scene! This cute little guy/gal just walked on the back of the cute snails!!!!~Hahaha, I guess they are fighting to pose for me? It was really a moment to remember (^^)~

The Barbaric Tale Of Conan The Barbarian 2011

I still remembered vividly the cartoon I watched when I was so little. It was either 10.30 a.m. or 11.00 a.m broadcasted on TV3. The cartoon was about a half-naked man who fought evil witch and sorcerer with his intelligence, wisdom and amazing stamina!!!~  Forever, this cartoon burnt into my head because it was so nice back then.

It was adapted into a movie very long time ago and acted by Arnold. I didn't watched that version though; so, as a "first timer" for this movie, I was quite interested in watching this movie, and to my surprise, I won a pair of tickets to the show!!! Yeah (^^)

However, to my surprise again, the movie was superbly violent with fallen heads and cut-off limbs@@~The movie was mainly about a warrior who seek revenge on the massacre of his family and his village. With action, passion, special effects, beautiful actors, I thought those were the main ingredients for a successful movie. Yes, they were! The movie was quite nice!~ Yet, it contradicts with the image of Conan in my mind. In the movie, he was being presented to be an arrogant skillful warrior who fears no one! During my cartoon days, he was a wise barbarian who always save the day!~

Despite IMbd rated this movie to be 5.3, I would give it a 7/10 because the action was nice and intense. No moment was wasted as constant actions were fed into the scene! However, this movie still lacks of a strong storyline or unexpected twist! And, of course, Rose McGowan (Charmed) played well as the evil witch; but, the lack of magical scene made the movie rather dull~ Overall, it was ngam ngam passed my test (^^)..hohohoho~~~

How about you? You watched it oredy?

The Pirates Once Conquered The Midvalley City

Yeah, it is holiday for me finally! My 3 months holiday now only left 1 week (><)~ Anyway, I learned a lot from my internship this year! It made me a tougher person! Hohohoho~ Anyhow, feel attracted by my title? Yes, me 2!!! (^^)~~~
This post I should have updated a long time ago when the premier of the Pirates of The Caribbean 4! Midvalley is always into the "in" stuffs. No wonder despite weekdays, it is still full of customers walking here and there. If you remember (here), last time, Midvalley also wooed his fans with the amazing Alice in The Wonderland decor! This time, I would say that the pirate theme was amazing as well~

Photobucket
Yup, here is the starting of the gallery where it displayed some fine nice tools used in the movie (^^)

Photobucket

The replica there was amazing! If you can see clear, can click on the photo to photobucket~ Of course, the ship wasn't that real! But, it was still breathtaking ! They even had performances on the stage there (^^)

Photobucket

More relics to be spotted from treasure chest to gold bars to skeletons (^^) ~ It was simply cool event! I love those rings a lot (^^)!!!!!!~~

Photobucket
The main attraction was still the ship though despite I DIDN'T really like it ~~~

Anyway, I salute Midvalley for always being innovative and creative to attract and serve its customer (^^)~~
