Denso Youth for Earth Action 2011 Memory Edition 1

Up to date, 2011 was my favourite year of all time as it was the year of freedom and chasing dream. Hahaha, perhaps, it was the year when I was still a dreamer youngster (^^). Anyway, it was summer 2011 when we received an email from our lecturer about the Denso Youth for Earth Action (DYEA). It is a programme  that truly embeds environmental awareness into the youths of today! You can find more information and even participate if you are interested at (here)!  However, I think this year is already closed. So, for those who are interested, you can prepare for next year (^^) For the winners, you can even join a foreign programme too, in JAPAN  !!!!! Despite I wasn't a winner that year, I really gained a lot of precious experience and enthusiasm in environmental conservation!

In day one, it was all about ice-breaking with the other 19 participants. They were all unique and special individual who were truly "green-minded". The 1st session was at the Denso Company, Bangi to introduce and educate us on environment preservation and conservation. After that, we moved into the Equatorial Hotel, Bangi!!!!! Yes, it was quite a nice hotel (^^).!!!!

In day 2, we were arranged to visit Denso plants itself. The operation and management was simply impressive with the detail of work involved. Below shows the microphone devices used while touring the plant (^^). Of course, the adventure didn't stop there. In the later part of the day, we went on another meeting/ visit to Department of Environmental (DOE), Putrajaya!

Two years ago, I was still not that familiar with Putrajaya. But, that time visit, it was an eye-opener tour because the architecture was simply astonishingly-designed. The meeting with DOE's director and personnel was quite fruitful too. The debate and discussion on environmental issues were quite a lesson to everybody involved!
I am so proud to be a part of DYEA 2011

The Spiderman of New Era

I still vividly remembered the original movie of spiderman 1 being released 2002. I just started my secondary school and now, I am a graduate from a university. It is like unbelievable how 10 years just gone by. That time, all of us in our class of 42 students were crazy over Spiderman because we had seen it in comics and cartoon; but, never in real human-acting.

It was one of the movies that those days, I would spend my precious pocket money to watch in the cinema. Obviously, after viewing the movie, it inspired me deeply as a human being and as a dreamer. It somehow told me that nothing is impossible. Tobey Maguire (Peter Parker) acted as a timid student with very good results. One day, he was bitten; thus, he obtained superpower which not only enhanced him physically, it made him a stronger person. The development of this Peter Parker was so much stronger than the new Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield). While a lot of friends prefer the new 1, I still have heart for the old 1 because the old 1 just taught us that even you are small on the outside, you can still be strong if you want to. Another point is that Aunt May in the old movie is far better in term of the feeling.  The Amazing Spiderman is of course far more handsome and cuter. But, in the movie, he didn't project the development from weak to strong intensely. Perhaps, the director wanted to focus more on his past which the old movie didn't highlight at all. This is definitely a plus point (^^)

Another twist in the new spiderman is that his love interest is Gwen Stacy, not Mary-Jane (><). Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) was great in the movie. She embodied the character quite well. Of course, in spiderman 3, there was also Gwen Stacy who wasn't the main character. Funny, they have similar appearances. Hahahah!The Gwen-Stacy-Look (^^). Anyhow, without knowing the sequel development, I still prefer to have Mary-Jane as the neighbour (><). Kristen Dunst did an amazing job as Mary-Jane. Her life is just as difficult as Peter Parker. But, she made it to Broadway! Another inspiring moment in this classic.

While both spiderman movies are in different directions, I still prefer the old 1. How about you?! Have you watch and compare? Peter Parker and Mary-Jane, both are the legend of spiderman; it is hardly possible to break this image. But, I still believe the new spiderman has more to offer. Hope a better sequel soon (^^)!!!

First Live Catwalk I Watched and Remembered (Roxy/Quicksilver@Midvalley)

This is definitely overdue post, almost 1 year ago (@@). Hardly can believe that I can drag so long. Well, because I have finished most of my work, especially the dreadful FYP !!!! Yeah!!! Anyhow, 2day, the story is about Roxy/Quicksilver Fashion Show 2011 Midvalley! Let the show begins!

Photobucket

The stage is utterly nice and colours full of life! Totally in love with it! A paper art with vibrant colours!

Photobucket

Due to my low-zoom and quality of my camera, the pictures were not that clear! But, I am still quite satisfied with the pictures of beautiful people on stage!!! (Despite I am not a fan of checker-box shirt)

Photobucket

The girls were looking great on stage!Again, the human heads were blocking my camera view, too bad I couldn't take the whole body.

Photobucket

The guy were also looking stylish and cool! Oh,I only I don't have a huge tummy and tall enough, I wouldn't hesitate to walk on it..hahahaha (joking!!!)

Crazy Ticket, Cool Ticket and Sad Ticket

What are tickets? I just realised that after learning for so many years, I really don't know the exact definition of ticket! Haha, to be truthful, my English is really not that good(haiz, I really need to read more since I "fake fake" oso a uni student)! Anyway, according to the free dictionary(here), ticket is actually refer to " A paper slip or card indicating that its holder has paid for or is entitled to a specified service, right, or consideration". Well, actually, not all tickets need to be paid! I was lucky enough to snatch 3 sets of free tickets in 2 consecutive week.

Free Tickets
  • Accident at GSC Midvalley (13.10.09)
  • Law Abiding Citizen GSC Midvalley(20.10.09)
  • Inglorious Basterds Cathay Cinema(20.10.09)

Yes, if you notice, 2 movies were on the same date! At the end, I had chosen Law Abiding Citizen due to the location. Anyhow, I had 2 movies in 2 week. Let's talk about the movie "Accident" which was chosen to be shown in a movie award event.
Photobucket
Well, I labeled this movie to be crazy because the ending was simply crazy! Actually, the plot of the movie is quite interesting(To kill people by making it look like accident); however, as it progressed, it was somewhat bored and predictable and also kinda of off the theme of the movie. Haiz, the rating is as below:
Character: 6.5/10 [The cast was okay]
Story: 4/10 [ The beginning was interesting]
Effect: 3/10 [Not much effect]

Photobucket
Now, the next movie was the "Law Abiding Citizen"! Well, thanks to Nuffnang for the free tickets before premier! The movie was quite cool! It was very violent, but super cool to watch! I have to say that the storyline was way better than "Accident". The casts were Gerard Butler(300), Jamie Foxx(Dreamgirls), and also a very familiar face - Leslie Bibb(Popular). Yes, she was a cheerleader back in those days in Popular! For this movie, the rating is:

Character: 8/10 [The cast was quite strong]
Story: 7.5/10 [ Great from the beginning to the end]
Effect: 8/10 [very high tech the gadgets in the movie]
Not to forget that, Nuffnang also provides me the movie pics^^Thanks again!

Bought Ticket
  • Beyonce I am Concert 2009 (25 Oct 2009) - Postponed
Photobucket
Yes, I also realised that we can't win everything. So, my sis and I decided to buy Beyonce's concert tickets even though both of us are very stingy people! Yet, to our dismay, she decided to postpone the concert. Haiz, actually, I think that there is no problem with her coming to Malaysia to perform ooo. If there are problems, her MTV should be banned in TV. But, I still can watch her MTV on local tv networks. Haiz!!! Plus, it is our consumer right as well. If you think that her dressing is not appropriate due to religous matter, then, prohibit those who are bound by religion from attending her concert. Well, personally, I think she is a performer! That is her way of performing and you can't change that! Oh well, in the end, it took me half a day to return her tickets! Haizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, Beyonce, please come back(><)

P.S: This summarises the 3 type of tickets in this post! Tata for now, it is time to continue my dreadful study life!!!!

Those Were The Days (Primary School Memory)

Yesterday, while attending Hari Raya Open House, I bumped into a very long time friend. She was my primary school friend. It was still a little bit surprise even though every time we almost meet up at this event. Well, she changed a lot, so did I. Anyway, we were really busy catching up with all the news of our old friends{Gossiping}(^^)

Definitely, it was great to bump into her again. I was really happy because a couple of years ago, me and another friend tried to hold a gathering. To our dismay, we had lost most of our friends' contact. Therefore, that experience taught me to appreciate my friends more or else when you lost contact, you might lost them forever. {Sentimental Mood}

Primary School was the best time of my life. Unlike my secondary school life, it was all about academic achievements and being active in clubs and society. For uni life, it was also about growing up and stepping into the society. Each stage was totally a different phrase for all of us, I think. In my primary school life, it was simple and fun. Nothing was so complicated that we had to commit suicide. Honestly, at that time, we just tried our best and the results were always fruitful, except for a few failures(^^). It was like everything was very easy at that time. Back then, I was a scout at my primary school. Well, don't ask me why I join, because it was just a spur of a moment. But, during my scout years, I had the greatest moments!

old days

I still kept this hat and scarf after so many years{almost 10 years}. Maybe there were so many good memories that I just don't want to let go!

For starters, I really enjoyed my time there:
  1. I was the scout leader for my year{Really unbelievable to me and many people too because that time, I was quite chubby, fair, and soft-spoken}
  2. I was in love with marching even though it tanned my skin{My skin recovered super fast}
  3. I was in love with scout knots {They tested me 6-9 different knots}
  4. I was in love with shouting out orders. {Never knew that there was a great voice hidden within me}
  5. I was in love with climbing about everything from trees to low building. {I was once a monkey}
  6. I was in love with scout tests {I had the chance to build a tent and even walk in a river}
  7. I was in love with all my scout friends {They gave me total obedience - I was Hitler back then}
  8. I was in love with all the activities. {I acted, sang, told stories,...the confession of a Drama King}
  9. I was in love with all the hardship. {We had to march for whole day long- not really still have break.}
  10. I was in love with scout! {One of the greatest moments in my life}

Yes, joining scout in my primary school years was one of the best decisions I had ever made. Till now, when I am intimidated by the situation or the people in my life, I will remember to stand tall and face them without any fear! Those were the days I shone the most! Those were the days I would never forget!

  1. P.S : Super busy!!!! Assignment week!!!! Please be patient if I do not reply your tags immediately!
  2. P.S(2) : I love to blog! Hahaha, I will face my Engineering Mathematics, Applied Physics, Professional Skills Lab Report 30% without fear!
  3. P.S(3) : This is only my 1st week back to my uni!!!!
  4. P.S(4) : Going back to KL! (> <) ! Have to pack later!

If Everything Is That Simple...and That Artistic...

Busy is my life right now. Not only I am busy preparing my piano test, I am also busy handling my accommodation for my up-coming semester. Time practically and literally files these days, well, my holiday will be ending in almost 1 month time. To make matter worse, I have not started to revise my note(Currently, my notes are home for millions of spiders) Besides that, I also have to figure the way to settle all the fees, rents, transport, food, etc. Yup, with all the tasks heading my way, I have to start to work already. This is the time when I wish if everything is that simple...

Okey, enough rubbish talk. I think it is time to step up(A quite popular phase from "The Apprentice"). Firstly, I can't do anything else except preparing well for my piano test which obviously I am not prepared at all. Before that, I really can't concentrate. So, my main priority is to finish off my piano test.(Oh, I am very aggressive!)However, I must not overly-obsessed with it. So, today, I will just be simple as A, B, and C. No more piano talk, now, let's talk about art such as drawing and photo-taking. I want to share a little something that I have drawn and taken which are very simple and nice.(Yup, just for a few hours, I want to keep my thought off piano.)

PhotobucketPhotobucketJustify Full
First of all, I just want to say that I really love rays of sunlight filter through the slightly dark cloud. Well, it is so..or it is such a fantasy because when I see the ray, I see hope as if a stairway to heaven(Okey, note: It is not like the tragic Korean Drama"Stairway To Heaven"). In short, I feel ethereal when this phenomena occurs, just like below.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Today, I also reveal a little secret of me. Actually, I love to draw. I even thought of becoming an artist, a fashion designer, a graphic designer, a landscape, an architect...Instead, now, I am going to an engineer, this is life, you can't see the future. But, you can hope for the best. Okey, it is time to reveal 2 of my masterpieces. I really like them because they seemed so simple, but, it took me quite some time to draw them.

From these two drawings, I learned that drawing can be beautiful even they are plain and simple. There is no need of pouring so much colours on a painting just to make it interesting. In fact, sometimes, a colourless painting reveals more that you think.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Yup, today is a day that I try to be simple and artistic at the same time. (^^). After this, piano time again.(P.S: The moving divider is so cool!)

8/8/2008 -- Beijing 2008 Olympic Games starts...

Photobucket

Today is finally arrived. A day of global celebration. A day of historic moment for everyone. A day of people await for a long time. Yes, today is none other than Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony Day. Most probably, most people are glued in front of the television to watch the opening ceremony. Personally, I am very excited of the fireworks because usually that is the climax of the event.

8/8/2008 at 8pm tonight, will be a night to remember. As you can see, there are a lot of eights in the date and the time. In Chinese Culture, no. 8 is a prosperous number, which also represents wealth and fortune. Oooo, I also like the no.8 too.(^ ^). Obviously, the highlight of the night is also the extremely famous Stadium in Beijing-------Bird Nest(Actually, the bird nest reminds me of a famous and expensive delicacy, 燕窝 a.k.a bird nest) . When all the fireworks are released, I bet the ceremony will be very majestic and breathtaking.

Apart from this, the mascots of Beijing Olympic Games also captivates people around the globe. With five cute and adorable mascots, they symbolize the culture and the tradition of China. Okey, it is time to let them come into the pictures.They are the FUWA(福娃).

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Haha, are you all envy of me now? I have a collection of them - key chains and even Chinese famous knots(I think so).

Now, they will be introduced briefly.
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

From left to right:
  1. Beibei (fish) -symbolizes prosperity and harvest {blue Olympic ring }
  2. Jingjing (panda) -symbolizes blessing of happiness, harmony between human and nature { black Olympic ring}
  3. Huanhuan(Olympic Flame) -symbolizes passion, especially in sports{red Olympic ring}
  4. Yingying(Tibetan Antelope) -symbolizes the vastness of China's landscape, the blessing of health and the strength of the body results from harmony between human and nature{ yellow Olympic ring}
  5. Nini (Swallow) -symbolizes the infinite sky and the spread of good luck when she opens her wings {green Olympic ring}
[Adapted from the "The Official Website of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games"] click here for more info.

Furthermore, the sports games will also be very exciting as well. Which country will top the ranking? Is it China?or, is it going to be America or even Russia? Omg, I really can't wait for the results.

Hopefully, Malaysia Atletes will do Malaysia proud too. Go and snatch as many medals they can. Prove to the world that Malaysia Boleh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Therefore, tonight, don't forget to tune in for the opening ceremony!!!!

Jay a.k.a Xjion89 a.k.a X.J is going GREEN (^ - ^)

How many people really care about the environment? Well, I can't answer that. But, what I can say is that I am going GREEN. When I was still in my tender age, the words such as "deforestation", "global warming", "green house gases", "carbon dioxide", ...were not in my dictionary; therefore, I did not understand them. However, with the existence of education, I had a chance to explore "Green" in more depth.

This is the first time, I really care. Before that, I have to admit that I am not really committed to going "GREEN".But, this time around, I have realized if i don't do anything now, I would regret in the future which the air will be seriously polluted, the water will be severely contaminated, ... So, I am doing my part now. I am starting to recycle plastic wares and tins. Save the trees, Save the environment, Save the future. I am also saving the use of energy, like turn the electrical appliances if they are not in use. Apart from that, this may sounds disgusting, I am also making natural fertilizers with organic waste. This can be done easily, just bury all the organic waste in a deep hole, for better effect, you can even store the organic waste in a container for decomposition.

The first step of going GREEN is actually not that difficult. We can start by practicing the 3Rs, Recycle, Reuse, and Reduce. Enough writing!!!! Just see with your own eyes(^ ^)

We have 4 main waste - Paper, Plastic, Tin, Glass

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Too bad, I don't have glass waste production at my home, ooo, it is supposed to be good. (^ ^)

Photobucket

As you can see, I had left my secondary school for so many years(not really), but, I still kept the textbooks. (Actually, I have no choice lah, suddenly change all the syllabus into English). Today, I finally want to let it go. So many years of keeping it safe under my table, it is time for me to release them back to where they came from. (emotional). Bye bye!!!!

Apart from that, I am also saying good bye to my very, very old collection of pencil cases.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

One of my favourite pencil case that I used during my primary school.

Photobucket

My favourite cartoon character long time ago, I even named my beloved cat after it, Felix The Cat. (Love its cartoon, wonder what happen to it)

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Ohhh, so sweet little Padi Panda, so cute!!!!! Even have a IQ test on it................

I have no idea why I kept them for that long, maybe, I am a person who really appreciates the things around me. But, no matter how much I love them, it is the time for me to let go.

Okey, that is really an emotional recycling job. But, for the future of humanity, I recycle 3 ancient pencil case!? Wow, this must be one of the most historical moment in my life. (^ ^ )

So, what are you waiting for??? Don't grab hold of things that you don't need, just simply let go and recycle. Let's nature run its course, this is the circle of life.
