The Spiderman of New Era

I still vividly remembered the original movie of spiderman 1 being released 2002. I just started my secondary school and now, I am a graduate from a university. It is like unbelievable how 10 years just gone by. That time, all of us in our class of 42 students were crazy over Spiderman because we had seen it in comics and cartoon; but, never in real human-acting.

It was one of the movies that those days, I would spend my precious pocket money to watch in the cinema. Obviously, after viewing the movie, it inspired me deeply as a human being and as a dreamer. It somehow told me that nothing is impossible. Tobey Maguire (Peter Parker) acted as a timid student with very good results. One day, he was bitten; thus, he obtained superpower which not only enhanced him physically, it made him a stronger person. The development of this Peter Parker was so much stronger than the new Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield). While a lot of friends prefer the new 1, I still have heart for the old 1 because the old 1 just taught us that even you are small on the outside, you can still be strong if you want to. Another point is that Aunt May in the old movie is far better in term of the feeling.  The Amazing Spiderman is of course far more handsome and cuter. But, in the movie, he didn't project the development from weak to strong intensely. Perhaps, the director wanted to focus more on his past which the old movie didn't highlight at all. This is definitely a plus point (^^)

Another twist in the new spiderman is that his love interest is Gwen Stacy, not Mary-Jane (><). Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) was great in the movie. She embodied the character quite well. Of course, in spiderman 3, there was also Gwen Stacy who wasn't the main character. Funny, they have similar appearances. Hahahah! The Gwen-Stacy-Look (^^). Anyhow, without knowing the sequel development, I still prefer to have Mary-Jane as the neighbour (><). Kristen Dunst did an amazing job as Mary-Jane. Her life is just as difficult as Peter Parker. But, she made it to Broadway! Another inspiring moment in this classic.

While both spiderman movies are in different directions, I still prefer the old 1. How about you?! Have you watch and compare? Peter Parker and Mary-Jane, both are the legend of spiderman; it is hardly possible to break this image. But, I still believe the new spiderman has more to offer. Hope a better sequel soon (^^)!!!

The Barbaric Tale Of Conan The Barbarian 2011

I still remembered vividly the cartoon I watched when I was so little. It was either 10.30 a.m. or 11.00 a.m broadcasted on TV3. The cartoon was about a half-naked man who fought evil witch and sorcerer with his intelligence, wisdom and amazing stamina!!!~  Forever, this cartoon burnt into my head because it was so nice back then.

It was adapted into a movie very long time ago and acted by Arnold. I didn't watched that version though; so, as a "first timer" for this movie, I was quite interested in watching this movie, and to my surprise, I won a pair of tickets to the show!!! Yeah (^^)

However, to my surprise again, the movie was superbly violent with fallen heads and cut-off limbs@@~The movie was mainly about a warrior who seek revenge on the massacre of his family and his village. With action, passion, special effects, beautiful actors, I thought those were the main ingredients for a successful movie. Yes, they were! The movie was quite nice!~ Yet, it contradicts with the image of Conan in my mind. In the movie, he was being presented to be an arrogant skillful warrior who fears no one! During my cartoon days, he was a wise barbarian who always save the day!~

Despite IMbd rated this movie to be 5.3, I would give it a 7/10 because the action was nice and intense. No moment was wasted as constant actions were fed into the scene! However, this movie still lacks of a strong storyline or unexpected twist! And, of course, Rose McGowan (Charmed) played well as the evil witch; but, the lack of magical scene made the movie rather dull~ Overall, it was ngam ngam passed my test (^^)..hohohoho~~~

How about you? You watched it oredy?

Sweet Memory 1989

memory

1989, my birth year!!! Yes, I am telling everyone my age. Yet, isn't that important for guys or gals, right? During my 20 years walking on the surface of the earth, I saw many remarkable sights, tasted amazing cuisine, and smell horrific stench from the dumpyard!

Sweet Memory 1989 is my personally diary of the things that I love during my childhood up to my teenage life and up to my adulthood. After 10 years, I would be 30-year-old. I think that it would be interesting to look back into my childhood and teenage life.

Anyway, back to the image above, well, since young, I have a huge heart on this sweet. If you can see the wrapping of the sweet, it said:" 黄心梅 in Chinese and きろこころうめ in Japanese. Both also mean yellow-hearted plum [ forgive my direct translation><] Firstly, thanks to some basic Japanese classes, I am able to identify that this sweet might be from Japan. Haha(^^) If you have watch Up[Here], the 78-year-old man lived inside his memory until he decided to change his life by fulfilling his wife's dream to "balloon" the house to Paradise Fall! At the end, when he looked back into his memory book (The Adventure Book by Ellie, his deceased wife), he finally knew that they did not live a disappointing live as inside her adventure book was the sequence of pictures of their young life to their older days. She treasured every moment they had even though they did not make a lot money, have children, or even travel the world. Those were the simple yet forever memory of their lives.

Ooo, before and after inspired by this movie, I am going to make a My Adventure Blog(^^)...haha.... It is not about age! There will be geniuses at the tender age of 10; but, there will also be elderly setting record despite their ages. That is life! Nothing is impossible!!!!

My achievement so far-----
  • eat a lot of Japanese buffet[here, here, ...]
  • eat more food![here, here, here, .,.....infinity]
  • beg-packing in Cambodia! [here, here,here, here]
  • Learn to swim without drowning but, with the fat on my body now, I am sure that I can float naturally(^^)
Ain't those achievements worth nothing to be mention to some people?! Well, it means a lot to me because there were so many first in there.......I am no superman; I am just somebody finding the path that I want to walk!!! No Mozart, no Edison, no super-young genius - I am me! Comparing myself to others would only make me feel tired![note: comparing with other ppl is the typical Chinese family tradition^^]

My Targets
  • Buy a house as soon as possible
  • Travel around the world
  • Become a trillionaire
  • Become World Next Top Model@@!!!???
  • Become a legend!!!

Haha, we set the targets! Is this possible, maybe?! But, is this truly what we want and what we urge for?! I really have those dream before...or have I?! Anyway, it is not important as long as we are contented with what we have!!! Becoming World Next Top Model, in my dreams...haha><

Omg, i sound so emo~~~ not really, actually, during this 3 months, I think a lot~~~~~~~maybe, I successfully found 禅(zen)....?!

Ipoh Dim Sum Fight - FuShan versus MingCourt

It had been days since I updated my blog. Well, actually, these few days, I wanted to update; yet, my lazy behaviour seemed to be in control! Until today, I had the urge to update my blog^^. Again, may I remind you all that I am having a super long holiday! What can I do?! Hmmmm, eating all the way in Ipoh loh(^o^). This time, the battle was on for FuShan and MingCourt(富山和明阁)! Two of the most famous Dim Sum Restaurants in Ipoh!

food and wine
Yup, I even have time to make this!><

food and wine
Okay, let's talk about FuShan first. Why? Because FuShan reopened its restaurant just a while ago! Yes, just opposite MingCourt! That is totally a direct fight ~~~Anyway, the new FuShan draws a lot of customers! A lot!!!!!!!!!! It was spacious inside; but, still abundant with customers. Sunday morning, my whole family had to wait so long for a small table(more than 30 mins!)! Haiz, however, I have to say that the decor was quite nice.

food and wine
Then, finally, we "fought" ourselves a table. As you can see, FuShan has its own custome-made chopsticks, teapot, plates and etc! The first orders were 猪肠粉 a.k.a pork-??? mee(haha, direct imperfect translation) and 糯米鸡 a.k.a glutinous rice chicken (this sounds better^^). They were just okay only!

food and wine
Of course, we did not just stopped there. Then, came along some dim sums. Due to the overwhelming of crowd there, there was not a lot of delicacies available. My bro even went out there and tried to find some. But, his attempts started to fail on the 3rd round! Haha!!! Above were what we tried that day. (The bill wasn't cheap too~~~~)

For FuShan, here are some of the nicer dishes!
food and wine

First, my favourite egg tart. (It was really tasty!) Then, the dough cake, 1st time taste it! Finally, my 烧卖 a.k.a steam....(I also don't have to translate, google the word if you don't understand!)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then, after a week or so, my family had another visit to another Dim Sum Restaurant - MingCourt. Personally, I prefer MingCourt; but, some say that FuShan's food tastes better~~~Well, it depends, right! Go try yourself(^o^)!
food and wine
When we got there, it was rather obvious that its business was affected by FuShan reopen. (FuShan really attract a lot of people lah!). But, it was an ease to eat there! Haha, less people stare at you when you eat^^! Its glutinous rice chicken a.k.a 糯米鸡 simply was the best !!!! Yes, better than FuShan ;p....The fishballs were also better than FuShan^^.haha!!!

As for MingCourt, the unique dishes are....
food and wine
Mochi!!!Haha, I can't even see them in FuShan~~~~~~~

Yes, the battle has ended! Who wins? To me, it was MingCourt! However, it depends on you! Go try them and you decide^^!

Extravagant Nuffnang Gift Idea(^^) - Awesomely cool.

I really like the idea of giving a gift to a special person and nuffnang gift idea contest has given me a chance to do so without troubling myself. This is all because of www.RealMart.com.my, an online-shopping mall that provides shoppers all sort of conveniences, like I don't have to drive all the way to the shopping to look for the perfect gift.(Petrol is very expensive nowadays(^-^)). Furthermore, there are so many products, that I think I will have no problem finding a good gift at all.

Nuffnang means "cool" in Jafaikan. Yup, I am giving a nuffnang gift a.k.a a cool gift to a fellow nuffnanger. It is very difficult for me because I have to decide who to give to, what gift, and why I give this gift.

Before I reveal everything, haha, let's me show you what were the gifts that I was planning to give that lucky person.

At first, I was planning to give the lucky nuffnanger this magnificent vacuum cleaner. Well, the vacuum cleaner is for her to "suck" tightly her future husband. Haha, but, after second thought, hmm, I think she most probably don't need it and this sounded a bit harsh.

Porcelain Aromatherapy Night Light

Coming up next, it was an exquisite porcelain aromatherapy. Personally, I really like this gift myself. I think she will love it too. I want to give this gift because this can really "zen" her soul and spirit. However, when I check this item's details, it was currently sold out. Too bad!!!(><). I guess I have to make another choice.

Finally, I have chosen something very nice, suitable, common, yet, very in need. Waaala........

SOEHNLE Volga Body Balane Bathroom Scale

Surprise!!!!!!
Now, officially, I am going to present this gift to the fellow nuffnanger,

seen

Actually, I have noticed that seen is very busy recently doing her work. She hardly has any time to update her blog. I feel guilty because I recommended her to start her own blog. This is why I am going to give her a scale or a balance - to balance up her miserable, busy, and tired life , by the way, don't forget to balance her weight.(^^)

This has been a very pleasant experience to me because choosing gifts online is definitely interesting. Besides, it is also very convenient.

Finally, I hope that seen will really like my gift to her.

P.S: Sorry, guys!!! Actually, I wanted to spread the gifts to all the blogger's friends that I have known and linked. So, if I have another chance, I will definitely dedicate the gifts to you all.(^^)

Post content: Sincerity 90%, creativity 10%, effort priceless(^^)

Shop till Everybody drops!!!

Today was not like any other days, it was a day of J. Hahaha, not me, Jay. But, the J cards member day for Aeon (formerly known as Jaya Jusco)[which is listed in their voucher]. Mum and I were determined to shop today eversince we received the flyer from Jaya Jusco.

Due to several unexpected obstacles( I forgot the time of my piano lesson and it was extremely difficult to find a parking lot), we reached there about 3 p.m. We were wandering around the complex to look for a space(pratically wasting our petrol). At the end, we decided to park to the housing area. In exchange, we had to walk to Jaya Jusco in a short while.

When we reached there, people were filling the shopping complex so fast that the corridor was almost fully-packed. Well, for the sake of shopping, we survived. The goods there some were very cheap and some were more or less the same.

In just about 15 minutes of walking, I found my targets. I had been waiting for so long, finally, there was a 50-percent discount for my lovely Japanese drama. They were not just any Japanese Drama. They were legends that guided me through my younger days. Therefore, I bought 3 sets of old, famous, fabulous Japanese Drama.

My triplet is just amazing, they are my babies(Even though I sound sick, I still love them)

No.1。 庶务二课 (1), this is the best of the best. Funny, charming, cool,...just about everything.

No.2. 爱美大作战(2), never watch this before, I just watch the 1st series, but, I am putting a lot of faith in it.

NO.3.恶作剧之吻-The original drama from Japan, not from Taiwan. I watch the Taiwan version, I have to be honest, it is not even close to the original( I know that a lot of people will going to hate me, but, this is my own opinion) Well, because, the Japan version had something more intriguing - authenticity. This is really important.
(They all cost me about RM40, so cheap, later, I will be able to speak Japanese. Gambateh, hehehe!!!(^-^))

After that, of course, we went to the men's and women's department. Oh my gosh , the situation there could be described by only a word - "Chaotic". People were crazy of the discounted attire such as blouse, dress, undergarment, shoes, and socks. Right now, I am going to reveal the true nature of most aunties. Beware, if you find this uneasy, just continue reading my blog. Hahaha, here is it.(Okey, I admit I am exaggerating again)

Actually, aunties were fighting for men underwear.......for their husband, son, brother..................wow, you don't want to mess with them . After that, there were happy hours for lady handbegs, watches, and....
The price of this scene is just priceless.

Well, after 3 hours of hustling and bustling in the crowd, we bought all the neccessary goods. It was time to go home. Right now, I am very tired and exhausted. So, in just few more minutes, I might need to go to sleep.

P.S : I change my header pictures already, guess who is coming into my blog?

A Day Free from Technology!(TVless, Laptopless, radioless) and I make an artwork!

Sunday night was not a pleasant night. I was so angry that night. Some personal reasons which I want to keep to myself. Well, after that night, I was so energetic because of the anger and madness. So, I stayed up very late.

During that time, I was thinking a lot. There was nothing bad about being angry. In fact, I was so full of energy that I made a lot of plan that night. I think that occasionally being angry, is quite good. Hahaha, it gives motivation, energy, determination, ... It drives people to the fullest. However, the resentment is still there. I have to admit that I hold grudge easily. So, be careful, don't make me angry, I will remember forever. Hmmm, maybe a couple of years...(Don't freak out). Hahaha, in person, I am quite okey.Okey, back to my huge plan.

List of My Plans:
  1. No laptop or online from Sunday night to Monday night( I made it, I waited until 8.30pm just now)
  2. I will renovate my room (In the midst of doing that, to be continued tomorrow)
  3. I will try to be more environmentally-friendly.( Hahaha, I am making organic-fertilizer - I dug a big hole, throw every organic waste I have into.)
  4. I will practise more for my up-coming piano test.
  5. I will plan for more plans.

For my plan no.2, I had made something. Well, I was going to rearrange my room totally and I made a little something to match it. So, before revealing my renovated-room, let's have a look at the table lamp that I made. It was very easy. To begin, let's prepare some of the materials.

You can see clearly that there are photo frames, scissor, pen knife, color papers, and some glue.

After finishing the design, you can see that they are very pretty, especially the 3D dimension of the colorpaper parts, they are my favourite.

Here are the almost final looks. The left side is the red and green designs, while the right side is the yellow and red designs. They look stunning with the light shinning behind them.

Wala, the final product is being displayed on the very pretty stone table.

Anger, madness, stubborness, sadness..even though they are all negative influences, they have their good sides as well. They sometimes inspire, motivate, push people to the top. Well, I have to say that it is not good to rely on them. But, at one time, they do wanders.

A day without technology was fun, I made a piece of artwork, I became more environmental-friendly, I saved electric energy... But, at the end of the day, I still have to depend on technology to blog.(^-^). In this era of techno, something are meant to stay. They have rooted their existence in human history, maybe in the future, they are our future-technology.

Pushing What? Daisies.....

I have always dreamed of possessing superpowers. I wish I could fly, throw fire ball, control thoughts, be invisible, have the speeding of lightning,... That is an endless list of my wishes. However, what if you were given a power of a touch, not just any touch, a touch of living and death. That is what the new, bizarre, amazing, breathtaking drama-"Pushing Daisies" talks about.

The drama starts when the main actor-Ned, discovers that he can bring dead people, animals, plants alive with just one touch. When he discovers his ability, he feels amazed. But, unbeknown to the consequences of using his power, he causes another death of another equivalent living things. There is a cost for using his power. (This reminds me of the anime-"Fullmetal Alchemist"). His power works on a equivalent trade, if he brings alive a person, another person has to die. Therefore, when he touches a dead person, that person will stay alive unless the second touch is applied. That is why he has the touch of living and death. He brings alive a person with the first touch, and kills the person forever with second touch. Apart from that, there is also a limit to his power, if he brought a dead person alive more that 1 minute, another living person would have to fill the dead person's place.

The storyline becomes more interesting when he brings alive his first and true love, "Chuck" a.k.a Charlotte. When Chuck and Emerson, they forms a detective group which Ned will bring alive the dead to get the information he needs to solve the case. Basically, this is what the drama is all about.

As you can see from the picture above, there is a group of interesting casts.
(scroll down for more info, technical problem)(^^)(Please forgive!)

1) Ned
Played by Pace Lee: He really portraits the character well in a humorous way. Apart from that he also shows the sensitive side of a guy vividly. He loves his dog and Chuck, but, he can't touch them. What he can do is to feel the love from within. He just captures that feel very well.

2) Chuck a.k.a Charlotte
Played by Anna Friel: She is just dazzling in the drama even though her manly nickname-Chuck. She is charming and died as a lonely traveler. But, she meets the man she loves with all this years and he brought her to life again. Most of all, she is expressive and interesting. She can speak I-don't-know how many languages. Her smile can kill a person and all the clothes in the show are amazingly colourful. She just gives me a witchy feel in the show.

3)Olive
Played by Kristin Chenoweth. She is madly in love with Ned. But, Ned has his heart for another person, you know who. But, she does not give up. She is going to fight till the end even though she loses the battles since day one. By the way , she can really sing.
4)Emerson
Played by Chi McBride. He is a little greedy but, loves to knit. Weird, but, amusing!!!
5)Narrator
Voiced by Jim Dale. He always reminds people how many years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds, they live. Well, roughly, I am (19 years old, 7 months, 1 week, 1 day, 8 hours, 40 mins, 40 secs) , sitting in front of the computer, writing this post.

With all the information that I am giving, you know that I am crazy of "Pushing Daisies". I love it because it is just a simple love story with a really unexpected twist. The story of each episode is also very unique in its own way, just giving the feel of real fairytale.

I love the narrator of the show, giving me a sense of exquisite story-telling skills. In "Pushing Daisies", you can find true love. Even though they can't touch, they are love each other. That is true love. After watching the show, there is a sense of sweetness of love...................I don't why but, maybe the colour of the show just gives everybody a new fresh life. I feel every single ingredient in the show - love, hate, desperate,...

P.S: The theme song is very niceeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! But, I can't find it. So, anybody knows where to find it. Please tell me!(^^)

Here are the few moments that I love about this show:

Chasing the stars....."Heart of Great" a.k.a 《溏心风暴》

Well , I am glad to say that I have the chance to meet the famous Hong Kong stars in person. It was just a brief moment for meeting them, but a long moment for waiting them. But, at the end, I was glad that I went for it.

The reasons? I had the opportunities to almost becoming a can of sardine, to experience human-heat-generated sauna, to lose weight in hours only, to shout my lung out for their names, and to meet them in person in about 10 feet away. Sounds kind of silly? But, it was worth it because I had fun.

Today, Ipoh Parade was really crowded thanked to the casts of "Heart of Greed" a.k.a 《溏心风暴》. Kok Leong and I went there about 2pm, but, at that time, the place was already packed. We would have to squeeze in. After securing our spot, we waited there for ages. In the mist of waiting, we were feeling extremely hot and occupied. Hahaha, it was like we were in a can of sardine. But, we did not give up that easily just like we conquered the mountain.(exaggerating). Well, you all should see the crowd. If you were there, you would know I mean. Better I show some pictures, "picture speaks the thousand words." they said.

People were not just on the ground, they were everywhere.

Even the escalator was filled with people.

Can you see the hands in front of me? I had to struggle to take pictures, by the way, nice handphones.

After waiting for an hour or so, people were getting agitated. Some of them were leaving. We moved our position to a little front. Due to the long hours of waiting, a lot of people were not pleased. Well, the organizers thought of that and acutally, arranged some performances for the audience. First, there were the Golden Melodies winners performing some classical songs, they were very good. Then, there were the Astro Talent contestents performing some modern pop songs. They were not bad either. Their performances were about 1 hour again.

Finally, the long wait was over. They were here -Louise Lee(李司棋),Moses Chan( 陈豪),Tavia Yeung( 杨怡),and last but not least, Linda Chung(钟嘉欣) {P.S: it was not easy to find their English name}

I was surprised to see them all looked so slim and fit. Maybe, the dimension of television really can make somebody look fat.

This was quite a shock to me because she looked so pretty in person until I did not recognize her. Not that in drama, she was not pretty or what, but she seemed so different in person.

Of course, Tavia were dazzling with smiles. She was quite friendly. As for Mose, the tall guy was humorous and charming at the same time( He even impersonate Tavia's voice, hahaha)

Last, of course, not least, the main character - Big Godmum(大契), was looking her best. Well, a little secret to share, actually, ten years ago, I took a picture with her while she was filming a famous Hong Kong Drama- The longest drama in Hong Kong history. She did not change much compared to now.

Game time. But, nothing for me.

At the end of the day, I would say chasing stars are worth it. Even virtually, they are untouchable, I still could feel their warm light from within. Oh, wait~or it was just the stuffy surrounding. Haha, just kidding, definitely, I had a lot of fun seeing and chasing the stars today.
