The Renovation of My Little World from 2010 - 2014

In my latest blog design, I find myself going extremely simple in everything. Perhaps, I have matured along the way with high tendency to seek for a more convenient of life. Hahahaha, I believe I am experiencing the mid-life crisis. Anyway so far, it has been a year since I changed my theme. This time around, I was spending quite some time to do research on how to give a simple look on my blog. I removed all the fancy gadgets, background image and gave it a less clutter look. Other than that, here are some of the tips I used for my bloggie design, mainly referenced from http://helplogger.blogspot.co.uk/:

  1. How to align the blog header image - this was quite a frustrating experience in blogger template adjustment. But the code from here solved my problem
  2. How to optimise google search for blog post title -  As the post title always started with the blog title, this gives a less attractive search results for the posts. Please find the self-explanatory from here.
  3. Removed the blogger bar (can be done now) which make my blog looks more clean.
  4. Gave a new blogger image (^^) with description on who I am. Finally a mini-masquerade mask pic taken in Venice!
  5. Gave a new blog header image, also taken in Venice.
  6. Added the facebook like button, which is quite good for publicity. And, so far, only this post worked for my blog.

This basically sum up the minor yet time-consuming edits!!!!!!!

Just as life will always goes on and earth will always spin, My Little World has been transformed for so many times that I lost count. My regret now is that I did not save a printsceen of my blog designs previously. Thank goodness with https://archive.org/web/, I manage to retrieve some of blog interfaces I applied last time from 2010 and 2014. Yet, many were lost.

Oh gosh, 2010 was a dark year for me? I don't exactly remember why it was so dark. Then 2011, I decided to go green, Oh yes, I still remembered the Japanese Garden's bridge which was used as the blog header pics.

Then, in 2012, I decided to give a more messy design, which the background pics were taken in Dreamz Bakery . Over the year in 2013, I was back to simple design with brownish background.

In later of 2013, I was having a liking to yellow designs thanks to the Hard Rock image taken in Penang. As you can see in 2014, my life has gotten slightly complicated. Therefore, any simple gestures/ designs/ lives/ happiness seems to be my cup of tea.

If you are missing out some of the blog design/ or you wonder how was your blog evolve/ mutate over the years, you can always try to find it using https://archive.org/web/

The Hidden Japanese Garden in D.R. Seenivasagam Park

Recently, feeling quite bored, I have been exploring Ipoh. One of the hidden jewels is this place - Japanese Garden in D.R. Seenivasagam Park ! If you have read a post long time ago, there is another Japanese Garden [here] which was my mom and dad's favourite. The post was written 3 years ago! Yes, unbelievably, time flew like rocket! Reading back the post, it has rekindled some passion in writing my bloggie.

Anyhow, this is the majestic entrance of the Japanese Garden in D.R. Park. It was a joint effort between Ipoh city and Fukuoka city on 1989. Therefore, the garden is same age as me...hahahahahaha~~~
Photobucket
As you can see from the features, the garden is really Japanese-like because the design was once aided by landscape expert from Japan too. Walking around the garden, this gives a sense of tranquility and relaxation.

Photobucket

Apart from that, the stone lamps are designed to be unique and similar to the ones in Japan. Basically, every lamp here is special. If you look closer, perhaps, you will discover that things are not what they seem to be..hahahahaa, sorry for being so philosophical! (^^)

Photobucket

Lastly, if you still remember one of the my header photos, I put a beautiful red bridge! Yes, it was from here. The bridges are painted in red which give a strong feel of appreciation of arts. Another feature which I am so fond of would be the path way made out of stones. It increases the connection between mineral and nature.

I wish that my home will be just like this. This comes with a price - money, hardwork, and continual improvement (^^)!!!!!

Dreams

Dreams
Photobucket

Dreams, I used to have them every night.
When I was little, it was a fairytale sight.
The moment I dreamt of was more than a dream,
It was a future wish I hope so hard…..

Dreams, I don’t have them anymore.
When I look into the mirror, it was a despair me.
The moment I hoped for was just a dream,
Never again my dreams will ever come true?

Just another random post (^^)

Where's My Present Paper Game!

Since my depressed post on weight matter, it is time to brighten up my bloggie!!!! (^^)~~ Actually, not really...Well, this post is about my last semester assignment in Project Management!~ Basically, as chemical engineer, it is important to learn about management skills. Therefore, we were forced  happy to do a Paper Game for Christmas celebration.

This was one of the most memorable assignments ever! Well, kinda painful to remember it! But, to me, any memories are good memories! We have to look back but no having hard feeling; instead we learn! Anyway, I know you all anxious to see the final product!

Where's My Present from The Seven Dwarfs

Photobucket

When you open it, you will see this amazing layout! A big thanks to my groupmates!

Photobucket

Of course to find the present, the children need to travel the paths using the dices and players provided (^^)

Photobucket

The 1st person to reach the Christmas tree in the center will get some nice rewards!!!!~~

Despite the hardship in creating this product along with report and presentation, it was unforgettable to me and members. I think from this module, it opens me to another world of business. It widens my narrow thought on management....

Valentine 2011 with Lover Birds Seeking All Well End's Well 2011.

valentine

Lover Birds 2010

I just got my results for sem1. Really baddddddd~~~. Not, a great day for me though. However, this must not spoil the loving mood. Well, even I am still single, I still believe in love. Last year, Valentine was on the same day as CNY. So, it was more CNY feel than love feel. This year, hv a great year, lovers! My present to you all(^^)

So, a couple of days ago, I went to watch a movie with my foundation besties!~~(^^) We watched the All's Well End's Well 2011. It was more like a Valentine  movie than CNY movie. Anyway, Louis Koo, Yen, Lau and Cecilia Cheung were the main characters. It was a funny movie with a lot of 18pl elements inside. Quite explicit!~~Anyway, we all had a good laugh there~(Random thoughts(@@))

Happy Valentine!!!! Love the love ones with all your hearTs(^^)

Curtain Fantasy!

Yes, finally, the 3rd promised post in previous Post (PPIPP). hahaha(^^)

  • Moon Cake Feast
  • Dragon-i Inn
  • Best Buy Selection
  • Artwork-Curtain Dyeing

Well, since I was moving to a rented house, I really needed some accessories for the house and curtains were definitely a must! However, my mum and I were planning to save as much as we could. Our first plan was to buy some cheap clothes to sew a set of curtains for the sliding door.{Thanks, mum} However, my mum realized that there were still some old curtains hiding underneath the shelf. So, our plan changed to renewing the old curtain by dyeing them!

Firstly, let's talk about the ingredients!
ingredient3ingredient
ingredient2

List: A pile of old clothes, An empty oil tank for boiling curry water, A long wooden stick for stirring the boiled water, gas tank(^^) or woods and the Golden-Colour Dye!

{Yup, the ingredients were that simple. You and your mum, dad, brothers, sister, grandparents, friends, children....anyone can do this at home! However , please be careful with and boiled water and fire hazard!}

Okay, since I am quite busy these days, I will be very efficient in presenting the few easy steps to create an amazing curtain for your rooms, living rooms, just anywhere(^^).

  • Step 1: Prepare all the ingredients above.{Note: Choose the dye that you like, but, remember to check whether your clothes are suitable for dyeing or not}
  • Step 2: Please clean the oil tank and fill it with an adequate amount of water for dyeing colour
  • Step 3: When the water is boiled, faster put in colour dye which depends on the intensity of the colour that you want.
step1

  • Step 4: Remember to stir the mixture non-stop.
  • Step 5: When the colour dye is well-mixed, add in some salts to prevent discolouration in the end.
  • Step 6: Stir the mixture well again and turn off the gas when it is ready.
step2

  • Step 7 : Do not straight away put the curtains inside, but wait for a few minutes.
  • Step 8: Put the curtains inside the oil tank and stir well again.
  • Step 9: After that, leave the curtains inside the tank for around 20 minutes.
step4

  • Step 10: Then, rinse the curtains in clean water until there is no more discolouration formed in the water.
  • Step 11: Lastly, dry them under the beautiful bright sun. After that, just hang them anywhere you want! Your place will definitely be lit up(^^)

Finally, the final look on the sliding door!
curtainercurtain v

From dirty and old white curtain, me and my mum had transformed them into new and classical curtains.

Well, when you can still reuse something, don't throw them away because they might end up becoming something really gorgeous. Anyway, besides having a great family moment with my mum, I also have the chance to recycle my curtains and made an art out of this.Isn't this green!(^^). My advice : Before you buy, please always check whether you need the items or not! I am proud to say that I am a green consumer!

If Everything Is That Simple...and That Artistic...

Busy is my life right now. Not only I am busy preparing my piano test, I am also busy handling my accommodation for my up-coming semester. Time practically and literally files these days, well, my holiday will be ending in almost 1 month time. To make matter worse, I have not started to revise my note(Currently, my notes are home for millions of spiders) Besides that, I also have to figure the way to settle all the fees, rents, transport, food, etc. Yup, with all the tasks heading my way, I have to start to work already. This is the time when I wish if everything is that simple...

Okey, enough rubbish talk. I think it is time to step up(A quite popular phase from "The Apprentice"). Firstly, I can't do anything else except preparing well for my piano test which obviously I am not prepared at all. Before that, I really can't concentrate. So, my main priority is to finish off my piano test.(Oh, I am very aggressive!)However, I must not overly-obsessed with it. So, today, I will just be simple as A, B, and C. No more piano talk, now, let's talk about art such as drawing and photo-taking. I want to share a little something that I have drawn and taken which are very simple and nice.(Yup, just for a few hours, I want to keep my thought off piano.)

PhotobucketPhotobucketJustify Full
First of all, I just want to say that I really love rays of sunlight filter through the slightly dark cloud. Well, it is so..or it is such a fantasy because when I see the ray, I see hope as if a stairway to heaven(Okey, note: It is not like the tragic Korean Drama"Stairway To Heaven"). In short, I feel ethereal when this phenomena occurs, just like below.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Today, I also reveal a little secret of me. Actually, I love to draw. I even thought of becoming an artist, a fashion designer, a graphic designer, a landscape, an architect...Instead, now, I am going to an engineer, this is life, you can't see the future. But, you can hope for the best. Okey, it is time to reveal 2 of my masterpieces. I really like them because they seemed so simple, but, it took me quite some time to draw them.

From these two drawings, I learned that drawing can be beautiful even they are plain and simple. There is no need of pouring so much colours on a painting just to make it interesting. In fact, sometimes, a colourless painting reveals more that you think.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Yup, today is a day that I try to be simple and artistic at the same time. (^^). After this, piano time again.(P.S: The moving divider is so cool!)

Piano Concerto - Sassy Canon in C Variation

Actually, I always have heart for music. Even when I was a little child, I enjoy singing in the shower(Well, most people sing in their shower, I guess or do they?) Maybe they would not admit it. Anyway, my music side begins to develop when I was about 6 or 7-year-old. I learned piano along with my siblings. However, back then, I was not that consistent;therefore, just after months of learning, I abandoned it.

Then, when I was in my secondary, the passion was back again when I watched the Korean movie "My Sassy Girl" and Japanese drama "Long Vacation". It was just mesmerizing when they played the piano. Then, I decided to learn piano when I was in Form 1 and there was no turning back. In certain moment, I did try to learn other instruments; but, they are not really my type(Omg, I am like talking again relationship). I really did try, yup, I was a non-active member in Brass Band for 2-3 years, changing from section to section, instrument to instrument,...(Exaggerating again). At the end, piano has my heart again.

In about 10 days, I am going to have my practical test. Well, I am extremely nervous. This is mainly because I think that I did not practice enough after attending class in my Uni(My Uni's piano, not a real piano, an electrical piano, really really....thumb down). After that, I think I start to deteriorate. Oh well, no use crying now. I have to practice very hard these days. In least than 10 days, I have to fix my three pieces, annoying scales(especially 6th apart), aural, sight-reading...I think that is about it. Hopefully, I will pass....(My expectation is not high, okey, just pass....enough...pray)

Okey, put that aside. Today, I finally have the courage to post one of my favourite pieces here, which I played personally(Can see my not-that-nice fingers) Well, I know that it is not perfect. But, I really like it - Canon in C variation from "My Sassy Girl". So, hopefully you all will like it, if you want to criticize it, go ahead, bring it on!!! hehe, really! Because personally, I think that my fingers are rusted. This is the only song I memorize because it really means a lot to me. Yup, this time no exaggeration because after watching this movie, I hope that I will be in a relationship with a girl with long, dark, straight hair who knows how to play this song as well. (Omg, I am making this into a post looking for relationship, nope, again, I believe in love in first sight[how impractical]) Okey, crapping a lot, I better shut up and you all enjoy!!!!!!

P.S: Do you see the NIKE ad down there? very cool leh!!!!I really like this ad.
P.S2:For video uploading, youtube is still the best.Blogger video really needs improvement!
P.S3: Sorry for so many P.Ss , the video was taken with my Nokia 5300, not a video cam.

Self Room-improvement (1)

Changing is good(not including changing gf and bf frequently). Well, in life, sometimes, changing is necessary. So, to keep my life in virtual and to make life more interesting, occasionally, I have some crazy ideas to renovate my room. Therefore, I change the arrangement of my room about 2 times in a year. This is partially looking for something to fill up my time and partially, relocate a new and fresh Fengshui spot in my room.Ok, call me superstitious or anything. In this time, I found myself very hard to fall asleep. So, I decided to change again for the sake of room-improvement and for myself. In this post, I will divide it into a few parts.

Today, the first part is to plan the arrangement of furniture and to plan special feature in the room. First thing is to draw out the plan of the room. It is extremely crucial because as an experienced-arranger, I found myself finding a hard to relocate all the furniture in a limited space. So, we must have a plan before we start a plan. (Wow, so cliche!)

Just get a blank paper, and draw your room's dimension. Well, I used the old paper from my primary exercise book.(The second sentence is for promoting environmental-friendliness, go green together.)

After this, all the furniture that are wanted to be included in the room, have to be drawn and cut out in a smaller ratio. This is for the convenience to plan the arrangement of the furniture.

Again, I used unused paper. Haha, I even labeled the furniture's names on the paper.

Later, the fun begins. Well, you can arrange your furniture as you like. Therefore, I come up with a few arrangements. Some are practical but not stylish, other are just nice but difficult to execute.

Originally, this is the arrangement of my room right now.

This is the first plan. Well, I really like my bed by the window side.

The second plan is that the bed is placed opposite the door. I don't like this arrangement personally. Oh well, it is still a choice

Lastly, this is my third plan. Well, almost like the no.1, but slight different.

Finally, a choice has to be made. Therefore, I have chosen No.3 because this is what I want. Even though the design was a bit wasting space, I love it. In other words, this is your own self room-improvement. You can do anything you want.

NOW, IT IS TIME TO MAKE MY DREAM COME TRUE.

Self Room-improvement (1) THE END

A Day Free from Technology!(TVless, Laptopless, radioless) and I make an artwork!

Sunday night was not a pleasant night. I was so angry that night. Some personal reasons which I want to keep to myself. Well, after that night, I was so energetic because of the anger and madness. So, I stayed up very late.

During that time, I was thinking a lot. There was nothing bad about being angry. In fact, I was so full of energy that I made a lot of plan that night. I think that occasionally being angry, is quite good. Hahaha, it gives motivation, energy, determination, ... It drives people to the fullest. However, the resentment is still there. I have to admit that I hold grudge easily. So, be careful, don't make me angry, I will remember forever. Hmmm, maybe a couple of years...(Don't freak out). Hahaha, in person, I am quite okey.Okey, back to my huge plan.

List of My Plans:
  1. No laptop or online from Sunday night to Monday night( I made it, I waited until 8.30pm just now)
  2. I will renovate my room (In the midst of doing that, to be continued tomorrow)
  3. I will try to be more environmentally-friendly.( Hahaha, I am making organic-fertilizer - I dug a big hole, throw every organic waste I have into.)
  4. I will practise more for my up-coming piano test.
  5. I will plan for more plans.

For my plan no.2, I had made something. Well, I was going to rearrange my room totally and I made a little something to match it. So, before revealing my renovated-room, let's have a look at the table lamp that I made. It was very easy. To begin, let's prepare some of the materials.

You can see clearly that there are photo frames, scissor, pen knife, color papers, and some glue.

After finishing the design, you can see that they are very pretty, especially the 3D dimension of the colorpaper parts, they are my favourite.

Here are the almost final looks. The left side is the red and green designs, while the right side is the yellow and red designs. They look stunning with the light shinning behind them.

Wala, the final product is being displayed on the very pretty stone table.

Anger, madness, stubborness, sadness..even though they are all negative influences, they have their good sides as well. They sometimes inspire, motivate, push people to the top. Well, I have to say that it is not good to rely on them. But, at one time, they do wanders.

A day without technology was fun, I made a piece of artwork, I became more environmental-friendly, I saved electric energy... But, at the end of the day, I still have to depend on technology to blog.(^-^). In this era of techno, something are meant to stay. They have rooted their existence in human history, maybe in the future, they are our future-technology.
