Where's My Present Paper Game!

Since my depressed post on weight matter, it is time to brighten up my bloggie!!!! (^^)~~ Actually, not really...Well, this post is about my last semester assignment in Project Management!~ Basically, as chemical engineer, it is important to learn about management skills. Therefore, we were forced  happy to do a Paper Game for Christmas celebration.

This was one of the most memorable assignments ever! Well, kinda painful to remember it! But, to me, any memories are good memories! We have to look back but no having hard feeling; instead we learn! Anyway, I know you all anxious to see the final product!

Where's My Present from The Seven Dwarfs

Photobucket

When you open it, you will see this amazing layout! A big thanks to my groupmates!

Photobucket

Of course to find the present, the children need to travel the paths using the dices and players provided (^^)

Photobucket

The 1st person to reach the Christmas tree in the center will get some nice rewards!!!!~~

Despite the hardship in creating this product along with report and presentation, it was unforgettable to me and members. I think from this module, it opens me to another world of business. It widens my narrow thought on management....

Ipoh Foodie: Historical Scotch Pub

Last year December 2009(actually not long ago) , while having my study weeks, I was glad to return to my beautiful hometown. Apart from studying, drama-ing, procrastinating, lazying....., I was visiting one of the oldest restaurant/pub in Ipoh!  Well, I think I was quite young when I started to have Scotch's famous chicken chop! Yes, its set lunch chicken chop was the signature of the restaurant!

Now, why would I refer this pub to be one of the oldest restaurant/pub in Ipoh town! Well, I did not really know that until my mom told me recently~~~ Before I was born, the Scotch Pub was already in operation! Gosh, it had been there for more than 20 years(@@)!!!! and she said that since it opened, its special chicken chop lasted until now! What a legacy!!!!!~~~That time in the 1970s and 1980s, the set of chicken chop cost about RM 5.80++ and now, it is RM 11.50 per set. But, the increment of price is over 20 years!!!!! In my opinion, this is actually reasonable for its retained taste!

Scotch2

The Today Menu, still my favourite chicken chop(^^)

Scotch1

Now, the tradition was that a poured glass of water was served the customer. Then, we made the order. Of course, me and my mom had 2 sets of lunch there(^^)

Scotch

  1. Firstly, the bread and the soup of the day would be served! After enjoying beginning dishes, we waited for our main meal!
  2. Oh, the lovely and famous set lunch chicken chop had arrived! Well, with some side dishes like beans, french fries, it made a perfect combination! Not too much nor too little!
  3. Of course, after main meal, we had our little supper of tea/coffee and some fruits(^^)
  1. P.S: Sorry for the bad photos quality because the restaurant was dimmed - another special feature of the restaurant and the photos are taken by my nokia 5730)
  2. P.S: Haha, also sorry for making this blog to become a foodie blog~~~
  3. Hope you all enjoy my recommendation(^^)

4 Days in KL, 2 Days of Outings, 1 Day of Saying Goodbye.

Instead of a farewell, it turned out to be a little road trip. Well, last week, I went back to KL to gather with my other uni friends who is going to UK soon. So, on the 1st day, we gathered at Midvalley. Oh well, the usual hangout ground for youngsters and oldsters. To my surprise, not many people were queuing for the movie tickets. Yes, it was an golden opportunity for us to get the tickets. Yes, instead of Laughing Gor at 3pm, we took The Proposal Instead. [Note: this would be a long posts because it consists of 4 days of stories and gossips.]

The movie was funny!!! Totally hilarious!!! Sandra Bullock was the true devil who wear Gucci?! Ryan Reynold who is married to Scarlett Johansson was totally charming in the movie as well. Anyway, we got the tickets at RM7. Actually, quite cheap loh!!!

In the movie, Sandra Bullock was facing a deportation since she was a Canadian [ Well, in actual fact, Ryan was a genuine Canadian]. In order to save her career, she forced her assistant, Mr Ryan to be her boyfriend. Then, things happened too fast, I guessed. When they went back to Ryan's hometown, they started to know each other and the rest you would know!(^^)

In their rushing wedding, Sandra wore a classical golden vintage style gown[here]...Yup, to my surprise, it suited her perfectly and almost took my breath away. Oh well, not many people can pull this out. Oh, Sandra, I still remember some of her movies- Practical Magic, Speed, ... It had been quite a while since she acted. Yet, her comedy came to live effortlessly. She is definitely a comedian queen. However, it was obvious time has an effect on every one. But, she is still the best and she is still that bold. As for Ryan, I remember him from 2 guys, A girl and a pizza place~~~ Yup, he knows how to keep fit!!! They made a weird couple!!! Hahaha!!!![Note: I was surprise that they cut some scenes lah, even kissing scene lasted longer also cut@@ ]

farewell midvalley, kepong, and lowyat!
After the movie, it was time to feed ourselves.[Foodie blog begins] We wondered quite a while before we decided to have our lunch at Fong Lye Taiwanese Restaurant[蓬莱茶房] Omg, it was so difficult to find the Chinese name - It was written in old Chinese] Anyway, here they are - Sook Hwa, Lih Chi and Pooi Shuen(^^)!!!

food and wine
Above were about orders. Yup, the star dish was the pumpkin balls. They were quite nice(^^)!!! Not too sweet, but with a lot of texture!!! That's why it was the star dish!!! The fried chickens were also quite nice!!!

food and wine
We also ordered a pot of Jasmine with Oolong tea. It was Rm 12 a pot woh!!!! and we added an additional cup with cost us another RM3. Expensive but not bad lah!!! We drink, drank, and drunk with tea@@ and gossiping until almost the day ended.

farewell midvalley, kepong, and lowyat!
These were our remaining order. Overall, the food there was quite nice! However, this meal cost us about RM22 PER PERSON. It is still worth a try~~~
Decoration: 9.5/10 [Of course lah, in Garden woh, everything was so classy!]
Food Appearance: 9/10
Taste: 8.5/10
Price: 2/10 [Too expensive leh!]

When I went back to my house that day, KTM delayed twice in an hour around 5.30 pm!!! It was the peak hour woh!!! I almost died in the train!!! No kidding!!! It took me about 1 hour and 45 mins to reach home!!!!

=======================================================

Then, on Monday, I decided to stay back in KL instead of going to Ipoh. The same gang with few more friends went to sing K in Lowyat basement. Yup, I really did not know about the K shop there. Oops, forget to take photos over there, because for the 1st time, I was very concentrated in singing woh!!! LOL!!! Of course, we could not sing forever. After paying about, RM 12 PER PERSON, our K session was finished.

Around 6pm, we went to Kepong to have dinner woh! It took us about 1 and a half hours to reach there. I really pitied Pooi Shuen for driving for so long. Anyway, we decided to have dinner here!
farewell midvalley, kepong, and lowyat!
Yup, at Pinang Lanta Seafood Restaurant[老檳城海洋飯店], we decided to order steamboat. I was totally hungry at that time! We all just eat, ate, eaten ~~~ It was kinda of nice because it was not a heavy meal! Plus, the price was still okay, around RM 12 per person!(^^) Of course, the foodie post does not end here. We continued again to have our supper at......
Decoration: 7/10 [old shop mah]
Food Appearance: 8/10
Taste: 8/10
Price: 5/10 [Still okay]

farewell midvalley, kepong, and lowyat!
Our supper was at 甜品哥哥 Hong Kong. Oh, did not know the English name of the shop!...Hahaha, just highlight it and google it(^^)~~~~[Ah Shir insisted that we must try it woh]hahaha, and I supported her too~~~~Plus, it was on the show hosted by Chui Ling woh!!! Of course, must try loh!

food and wine
These were what we ordered. All of them were weird at 1st; but, after trying them, they were quite special and nice. [Note: they are mango rolls and pancakes!]. Since we had our dinner just now, we shared shared among ourselves. So, it cost about RM5 per person~~~~
Decoration: 9/10 [to attract youngsters]
Food Appearance: 8.5/10
Taste: 8/10
Price: 6/10

farewell midvalley, kepong, and lowyat!
Lastly, when we were all broke and tired, it was time to head to Lih Chi House. I have to say her house was really nice!!! This was one of the shots there. Yup, never thought that this failure shot turned out to be that nice(^^). Finally, all the best and have a great life in UK to Lih Chi , Sook Hwa, Ah Shir, Pooi Shuen !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Broga Hill and Temple Expedition - The Hidden Jewel

Busy, busy, & busy. Even though I am in my holidays, I still have a lot of things on my mind. So many things are happening simultaneously. Currently, I am in the midst of packing my luggage to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Yup, I am feeling the adrenaline and the anxiety at the same time. This is all because I have not been on a trip for ages. Plus, this trip is some sort like a mini-beg-packing trip. Wish me have lots of fun(^^).......

Now, back to the story of after final examination. If you have read my previous, you would know that I had a crazy time for the 3 birthdays, 3 movies and 1 unforgettable experience. Then, just like that, time flew like the speed of light - it was 3.00am. After that, I went to stay a night at Lai's place. Hahaha, I felt so bad because I came to their place so late. Then, after 2 hours of nap, at around 5.30am, we went to conquer a little hill ....hahahaha....The BROGA HILL!!!!! or 茅草山!!!!

hill climbing
May I say that it was pitch-black when we reached there. Therefore, A BIG REMINDER for people who hike the hill in the morning - Remember To Bring Torch Light!!!! Holes were everywhere!!!

hill climbing
Actually, it was quite an ease to climb the hill. However, there were so dangerous slope that slowed us down. Overall, we took 45 minutes to reach the 1st top; then, plus 10 mins to reach the 2nd top. But, we did not went for the 3rd top though. The sunrise was actually quite nice! Thanks to my technique, I was able to capture that moment. However, the pictures turned out to be quite dim. Still, the warm sun was truly beautiful!

hill climbing
Then, it was time to leave. Obviously, going down was easier than going up! It took less than 30 mins to reach shuxin's car. We were exhausted to the max and then, we had breakfast in town.

hill climbing
Of course, we really did not know how or when to stop. Therefore, we went to a famous temple in Broga. It could be considered as a traditional Chinese temple that portraits the beauty of Chinese culture. Therefore, this temple is a must visit landmark in Broga!

hill climbing
As the "future-to-be-world-renowned-fashion-artistic-commercial photographer again, I was snapping pictures non-stop. This was one of my favourite - Pagoda with A Pineapple.

hill climbing
Then, the final attraction was the "十二生肖" or the twelve zodiac animals. (Translation???Not sure). These twelve animals represent not only a person's birthday, it might also determines the fate of a person for Chinese. Believe it or not, this is your choice(^^)......

Lastly, a big thank to the models of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Btw, the author will be away starting from tomorrow!!!!
Cambodia, Here I come!!!

A Classic Will Last Forever{Whitney Houston}

One of the greatest singers of all time who captured and captivated audiences from all walks of life. One of the greatest legends of all time who amazed and enthralled people with her wonderful voice. She is more than just any average singers, she is the diva of her time even though now, she does not shine like she used to be. But, she is still a classical that will last forever, Whitney Houston. {Even though she was involved in a lot of scandals(><)} While people will only remember her amazing performance in "The Bodyguard" on "I Will Always Love You", I have other preference in the movie. It was not as great as "I Will Always Love You", but, it really touched the hearts of people too. The name of the song is "Run To You"{Yup, I think nobody did notice this song because it was overshadowed by "I Will Always Love You"}. Anyway, the song was great and emotional. She really did put heart and soul in this song. I think that during that time, she was on her peak of her career. However, after meeting his future-husband/ex-husband, Bobby Brown, everything was just amiss. {Chinese Saying: "Girls are afraid of marrying the wrong husband; Guys are afraid of working for the wrong job"something like this lah} So, girls must find a good husband. (^^)

I love this song a lot. It is very touching!!!!!!!!!!!! This is like a recommendation from me(^^)

Aiyo, this song no need to say lah, sure very best. But, a fact is that the original singer was not Whitney Houston{Surprised}, she was the country singer, Dolly Parton{Err, me not a country singer fan except for Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, and Carrie Underwood}

Finally, I heard that Whitney Houston is going to release a new album in this November{Finally} I just can't wait for it. There is also a sense of worry whether she will make it or not. Anyway, wish her all the best!!!! I will always support you!!!!
