Libra Star Cruise Adventure Part 2

"A little nonsense now and then is cherished by the wisest men",
by Roald Dahl, British novelist, author of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

As inspired by the quote, the adventure continues on the Libra Cruise so as the exploration. We further wondered around the outdoor. The pool and the Jacuzzi looked so inviting. There was even a short-distance jogging track here. Go for night joggers (^^)

Apart from exploring the cruise's compound, there were even shows available from Hokkien singers, English singers, etc. For the children, I bet the most attractive show in the cruise would be the MAGIC show! It was combination of humour and tricks (^^) Perhaps not much youngsters there, the disco was totally empty!!! For the adults, you will find a lot CASINOs in the cruise!!!!!

As you can see the outdoor facilities, there were many sport facilities! Yup, totally suitable for sport junkie!!!!! Basket ball court, sprint track, etc were quite favourable! A final walk around the decks of the cruise statisfied our curiosity before heading to bed.

Without realising that the cruise had docked, it was another beautiful morning! The breakfast was another complimentary buffet! Yup, again, it was a variety of food! What another amazing meal (^^)

We climbed to the highest deck again to have an overview, it was truly beautiful(^^)!!!! And, surprisingly, there was photoshot going on near the pool area with sexy bikini girls (@@).. Another exploration indeed....

After leaving the cruise, we set on a short trip around Penang. What a pleasant town with nice food! My mom was totally craving for the cendol ice there. So happen, I knew the location of the stalls. A nice bowl of cendol ice ended our journey in Penang prior heading home to Ipoh (^^)

Overall a chill trip with no hassle was simply enjoyable and relaxing (^^)

Libra Star Cruise Adventure Part 1

Nope, this wasn't the Libra Star Cruise! It was the Logo Hope - Floating Book Fair/ Store that aims to educate people and to help needy people around the globe!

Anyway, the story in this post is solely about Libra Star Cruise. To cut the long story short, I won a pair of tickets, more precisely, a room! Therefore, I ajak my mom to join me on this cruise adventure for a night stay on the ship!!!!!
We drove to Penang to board the cruise which was located at the famous jetty - Swenttenham Pier. Yup, what a shallow me! I didn't even there was a pier named after Swenttenham - a very famous name appeared in Sejarah! Anyway, Penang was awesome (^^)

As you can see, the cruise ship was quite nice in  the exterior! Numerous entertainment facilities were available - swimming pool, CASINO, gym, restaurant, etc.... Of course, just to remind you all, despite the room was free, we still need to pay for the sea tax or something. It was not cheap though.

After all the hustle and bustle checking in, we finally arrived our lovely room! It was kinda small though. But, it was comfy enough for both me and my mom! And, the shower was amazing (^^) To our surprise, most of the crews were from China !!!!

There are several restaurants in the cruise ship! We tried the 4 Happiness restaurant 1st for our dinner. The food was quite okay (^^). Crazy variety of Chinese food, Malay food, Western....We were totally satisfied! After 1 hour + of dinner, my mom and I roamed freely checking different decks (^^)!!!!!

Then, we arrived at the pool outside. We just sat there and chilled while listening to the live band singing English oldies! Of course, occasionally we were "harassed" by the waiter to order drinks. But, it was still enjoyable!!!!!

The Story to be Continued.......

Restaurant Ipoh 新怡保饭店 @ Ipoh

Even though Ipoh is publicly known as the "Retirement Town", it still develops like hot cake as there are more and more tourists coming here to visit. Anyway, the most common phenomena in Ipoh is that the youngsters will either go to KL or overseas to study or to work, leaving their senior parents at home. You might think that they will be bored to death without their children by their sides; but, you are so wrong! In fact, most of them are more adventurous in further exploring Ipoh for good food. And, they are getting pickier by the day.

The NEW IPOH Restaurant was discovered by my parents during their past time. It is quite a popular restaurant in town especially for family customer. It is a typically Chinese restaurant for ordering dishes!
Eversince I am older, I prefer to eat simpler food - less fried, more fiber. Perhaps, in this age, I should also start to take care of my health so that in the future, medical bills won't that enormous. For the dish above, it is the steam tofu with fried shrimps on top (^^) Simple yet yummy!

As for those with bad tummy/ digestive problem, eating more vegetables most probably will help. Yup, we should start to eat more vegetables since young age! Another simple dish here - clear fried vegetable (pardon my direct translation)..hahahahaah

Lastly, since my parents still adore some meat here, we ordered the yum sandwiched pork (Waaa, my translation getting better or worse??!!!@@). Anyway, the portion wasn't too large so that we won't overfed ourselves. Hahahaha!

Overalll, New Restaurant offered a simple dinner to the locals. You can always try it out as it is just located opposite the Ipoh Pet Center. Oh no, tomorrow I am going to KL already. Sign, there goes my one month holiday (><)!!!!!!!

Today marks a significant day for Malaysia, my beautiful country. As I am at the legal age to vote (still quite young, lol), I have registered and voted for the 1st time in my entire life! Yes, this is how significant Generation Election in Malaysia.

There are just too many controversial to see, hear and speak the stories of GE13. My advice is vote wisely (^^) Anyway, regardless which winning party, if job is not well-done, we, as the citizens of Malaysia who practice democracy, can always choose again in the coming 4 years (^^).

So, let the best party win!!!! (^^) Remember to vote earlier, still got 7 hours left!!!!!!!!!!!

Soya Lee, Icy Princess (2001 - 2012)

More than 1 year, she left us. Soya Lee, the Icy Princess who used to be around us all the time with her soft fur and cunning movement. Yup, she was always cute and always will be in our memories! I still remembered clearly how she ventured in our lives.

My sister and I went to buy something and as we passed by a vet clinic, there she was, looking skinny and happily playing with her siblings. Regardless of my mom's protest, my sis insisted to take her in. Just like that, she became Soya Lee.

While many people said that cats are not as loyal as dogs, I believe it is not entirely true. When I was preparing my SPM, she was there supporting silently (until she became so annoying). When I was down, she would just sleep on floor so cute that I forgot my problem instantly! YES, Her cuteness was simply irresistible.

She had been always classy and babei all the time! Hahaha, but, that's why I love her so much as she was keeping her integrity! Yup, she didn't like people to cuddle her; over-cuddle would irritate her until she bite.

In 2009, she fell ill as she urinated blood. It was such a horrible moment to me. Medication was useless; therefore, she undergone a surgery to clear off the crystals in her bladder. I took care of her day and night that time until she fully recovered.

Times would never stop. In 2012 January, she breathed her last when her injury from a dog's bite became deadly. I wasn't managed to see her last and my parents didn't tell me her condition until she left me for 3 days. She was really waiting for me to see her; guess that I miss the chance to say goodbye as she passed away after 1 day I returned home.

Reading back the childish posts I wrote for her, it was truly a good memory! Thank you Soya Lee for a great 10 years of companionship! Without you, life would be so dull and less interesting. You truly lit up my light.

Recently, my coursemate of 5 years passed away due to cancer. It is still unbelievable as life is so unexpected. I still can't accept the fact like this. For someone you talk to for 5 years, just in a instance, everything changes. How sad to remember the days we spent for tripping and everything. I took his photo during the tripping, after presentation, etc......In this instance, I realised one point - We are all grown up, finally!

Birth! Life ! Sickness! Death! >>> We are in life stage (growing up/ aging). Let's us appreciate our friendship, relationship,family.......because when it is gone, it is forever.

The Ever-Moving Chop Yong Restaurant

Procrastination, a thief of time? Yes, indeed, I have been a strong procrastinator since the time I know myself. Hahaha, anyhow, Chop Yong Restaurant, an ever-on-the-move restaurant moved for the 3rd time. The photos below was taken in the 2nd move.

Photobucket
It was located in the wet market area. Sadly, with such frequently relocation, it would be difficult to build up the customer list. Oh well, I am not the expert here.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Despite not a big fan of dragonfruit, I have fondness towards its juice(^^)~ The other 1 is the "sally" juice with sour prunes. (Can anybody tell me the real name of "Sally"?) The simple corn was quite nice 2!

Photobucket
A simple meal for 4! Taufu, vegetable, ginger chicken and Thai fried chicken. Overall, the taste of the dishes were really home-like. The price was quite reasonable!

The only problem is that you have to find its current location!!!! Really like the Moving Castle.!!! hahahaha~

The Story of Si Kancil

The title of the post reminded me of History (Sejarah). I still remember the story of the prince Parameswara witnessed the brave Si Kancil fought cunningly with its foe. Anyhow, this post is totally unrelated! When I was so young, barely 10-year-old that time, I was amazed with a Kancil (Perodua) bought by my parents.

Photobucket

Yup for than 10 years, it served 2 generation of people, perhaps 3 now. Kancil was my family car! Hahaaha, like the advertisement~ Anyhow, then, it was used by my sister (only a little), then my bro, then me~ It was the car I used to practice for my driving lesson! Ah, what nice memory! Will there ever be memory that nostalgic anymore?

Photobucket

Sadly, there is no more production of Kancil. Nonetheless, it was one of most affordable cars back then. I still think that Perodua is way better than Proton. As a national produced vehicle, Proton has yet to outwit, outbreak, outwin the monopoly circle. It had fallen back behind~ The reason it sustains because of its support, not its superiority in design and quality. Still, Proton people has yet to learn how to improve with the global development......How to compare to Ferrari,Toyota,.......

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Back to my story, my parents decided to sell off Si Kancil. It was totally devastating. However, Myvi came into the picture now (Not the sports car above...hahahahah). Hopefully, some people who need this car will be beneficial from it (^^). It was surely the time to say goodbye~

The Chocolate from The West

Photobucket

If only I am forever skinny, I would dig in as much chocolate as I can. The image above was the chocolate that my parents flew back from Europe during their trip there. Haiz, when will I have the chance really going out to the overseas, enjoying the place, people and culture in other places? Anyhow, I have gained enormous weights these few years. But, I just can't resist good chocolate (^^)

Photobucket

This one was even better (^^). There are different fillings in the chocolate; my favourite was the red velvet (^^) Quite an interesting combination!!!~~ Since I am so determined to lose some serious weights now, perhaps, I shall cut down the consumption on chocolate then (><)

Wish me Luck (^^)

T.G.I.Friday (^^) @ Pavillion ~

Photobucket

Friday means a lot to a lot of working people out there! Yes, is Friday, not the Friday 13th. The next day is weekend, this also means you have weekend off. Anyhow, this post is about T.G.I.F @ Pavilion(^^).  My family came down KL to visit me and they had yet walked around this luxurious place. During lunch time, we ended up here >>>> T.G.I Friday (^^)

Photobucket

Actually, TGIF is quite like Chilis [here]. The food portion is large despite not as large as Chilis. The taste was amazing for all 3 dishes above. My fav was the middle; it was something like Cheesy Pizza (^^)!!!!

Photobucket

Of course, most dishes would provide french fries !!!!~ The burger and fried chicken were awesome! I would say 10/10 for services. As for the taste, it depends. For heavy grilling and frying delicacies, no doubt TGIF is superb in this case. For people who prefer not that heat-ty food, perhaps they should opt for something else (^^)

Lou Wong Tauge Ayam Kuetiau (老黄芽菜鸡)@ Ipoh

This is obviously one of the top restaurants in Ipoh because most tourists or other travellers know about this beansprout chicken restaurant. The reasons of its fame? (1) The juicy and big tauge! (2) Smooth chicken. Of course, due to its popularity, it is always crowded. No joke (@@).....

PhotobucketPhotobucket
The image above showed the work station of the restaurant.I don;t really eat quite often. Usually, I will only accompany my family and friends to come here ~ They serve their drinks in such that it is fast and effective. Of course, I am sure that you all are anxious to have a look at the dishes, right (^^)~~~

PhotobucketPhotobucket
The beansprouts are large and juicy since Ipoh is quite famous with this vegetable. The reason for this restaurant to be famous is that the chicken is always very smooth. If it is like the other shops which serve you chicken that is rough and liat, I wouldn't recommended it~

PhotobucketPhotobucket
Depending on your appetite, you can order kuetiau or even rice. As for me, I am always hungry as if having a bottomless stomach; therefore, I would order rice. Their kuetiau combo with the tauge and chicken is amazing! To add on, their fishballs also make a great dish. There are a mixture of fishballs and porkballs.

Photobucket

With good food like this, it is so hard for me not to gain weight (><) Anyway, bon appetite!!!! ~~~

Taste Different Restaurant 味不同@ Bercham Ipoh

Photobucket

My parents took me personally to enjoy this seafood restaurant known as KEDAI MAKANAN RASA LAIN (味不同) which was more than satisfactory!!!  (Note: This post is quite obsolete, so prices might vary tremendously?????)...hahahahha

Every time, we went there; the people was literally human mountain human sea.. (hahahaha, 人山人海)。Finally, going there around 5.30pm, we snatched a table easily. As a so-called healthy family, we ordered vegetable 1st. Then, came the so-called Stephen Chow's 爆漿瀨尿牛丸alike only,........ the 西刀鱼丸 (Saito Fish balls)  is a must-order !

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Then, instead of order dishes and rice, we ordered fish porridge and crab mee which both of them were totally out of the ordinary! The fish porridge's taste was sweet and tasty while the crab mee was really smooth and silky (^^). You can see the crab from the pic below, it was fresh and juicy (^^)

PhotobucketPhotobucket

The meal ended with a splash! Really (^^) Because, it is never complete without prawns (^^). We ordered the cheese prawns in claypot. It was like eating a pizza. (^^). hahhahaahhha~~~~
