The Renovation of My Little World from 2010 - 2014

In my latest blog design, I find myself going extremely simple in everything. Perhaps, I have matured along the way with high tendency to seek for a more convenient of life. Hahahaha, I believe I am experiencing the mid-life crisis. Anyway so far, it has been a year since I changed my theme. This time around, I was spending quite some time to do research on how to give a simple look on my blog. I removed all the fancy gadgets, background image and gave it a less clutter look. Other than that, here are some of the tips I used for my bloggie design, mainly referenced from http://helplogger.blogspot.co.uk/:

  1. How to align the blog header image - this was quite a frustrating experience in blogger template adjustment. But the code from here solved my problem
  2. How to optimise google search for blog post title -  As the post title always started with the blog title, this gives a less attractive search results for the posts. Please find the self-explanatory from here.
  3. Removed the blogger bar (can be done now) which make my blog looks more clean.
  4. Gave a new blogger image (^^) with description on who I am. Finally a mini-masquerade mask pic taken in Venice!
  5. Gave a new blog header image, also taken in Venice.
  6. Added the facebook like button, which is quite good for publicity. And, so far, only this post worked for my blog.

This basically sum up the minor yet time-consuming edits!!!!!!!

Just as life will always goes on and earth will always spin, My Little World has been transformed for so many times that I lost count. My regret now is that I did not save a printsceen of my blog designs previously. Thank goodness with https://archive.org/web/, I manage to retrieve some of blog interfaces I applied last time from 2010 and 2014. Yet, many were lost.

Oh gosh, 2010 was a dark year for me? I don't exactly remember why it was so dark. Then 2011, I decided to go green, Oh yes, I still remembered the Japanese Garden's bridge which was used as the blog header pics.

Then, in 2012, I decided to give a more messy design, which the background pics were taken in Dreamz Bakery . Over the year in 2013, I was back to simple design with brownish background.

In later of 2013, I was having a liking to yellow designs thanks to the Hard Rock image taken in Penang. As you can see in 2014, my life has gotten slightly complicated. Therefore, any simple gestures/ designs/ lives/ happiness seems to be my cup of tea.

If you are missing out some of the blog design/ or you wonder how was your blog evolve/ mutate over the years, you can always try to find it using https://archive.org/web/

Nexus 4, My New Babe (^^)

Yes, with much considerations, I have made a choice!
Yes, with much surprises, I have chosen NEXUS 4 over Iphone and S3 (back then).
Hahaha, not because I want to be special or anything, it is just because DIGI that time got promotion!
And, just like that, I decided took the PROMO68 with 5Gb data!

Right after my purchase, Nexus 4 (by Google) and (manufactured by LG) updated by itself to Andriod Jelly Bean 4.2.2. Yup, super duper cool! Because this is my 1st full smart phone! Actually, I was using a semi-smart phone Nokia 5730. It served my well for this 3 years!!!!

Here are the outcome of Nexus 4's camera! How are they? Nice?! Yup, with this price and specification, I am satisfied with this gorgeous phone !!!!

The only weaknesses are the short-battery life and overheating when the 3G is on! However, which phone is not energy consuming nowadays~

Yes, I go NEXUS. How about you!(^^)

5th of May 2013

Today marks a significant day for Malaysia, my beautiful country. As I am at the legal age to vote (still quite young, lol), I have registered and voted for the 1st time in my entire life! Yes, this is how significant Generation Election in Malaysia.

There are just too many controversial to see, hear and speak the stories of GE13. My advice is vote wisely (^^) Anyway, regardless which winning party, if job is not well-done, we, as the citizens of Malaysia who practice democracy, can always choose again in the coming 4 years (^^).

So, let the best party win!!!! (^^) Remember to vote earlier, still got 7 hours left!!!!!!!!!!!

5 Meals 1 Day Edition (4.5)

It had been more than a month since my last post on the AWESOME 5 Meals 1 Day Edition. Yup, working life is busy as always; similar as study life as always. Hahahaha, anyway, this time around, I will be introducing the 5 Meals 1 Day Edition (4.5) (^^) Why 4.5? The reason is that this is not really a meal but a snack on the way to meal 5!!!!

Can you see my girlfriends running towards the stall despite it was raining!!! ???? Yes, the magical attraction, I would say! The location of this stall was quite awkward! Because it was located behind quite a busy road!!!! All sort of weird stuffs in KL (^^)

The price wasn't that expensive too! Yup,totally worth a try (^^). We packed to have the hot "Dan Dan" (so-called by my friend) on the car! Because it was really rich with the good smell and taste of eggs, that's why it was referred as "Dan Dan".

5 Meals 1 Day Edition (4)

Continuing the foodie track, the next stop was Levain!!! I believe that this bakery is really famous and well-known to all! Yup, another nice place for dessert and lunch! Location of this amazing bakery is at a secluded   Jalan Delima! Totally have no idea where is it, I was only the passenger....hahahahaha~

Obviously, I think the decor in that place really plays an important role in attracting customers! With nice setting at the exterior, the interior design completes the total package with interesting paintings, display items, etc.

When you enter the bakery, it is practically filled with breads~~~ Yup, all sort of breads, you name it, you will get it (mostly). I really lost track of the name of the breads!

Of course, apart from breads, Levain also offers other type of food! Their spaghetti was exceptionally tasty! Totally in love with the seafood spaghetti on the right!

The breads were not only well-baked, they were so nice to look it until you would feel "What a waste to just   eat it"! Hahahahaa!!!

Every month, they would introduce some new cakes/ breads. Yup,continual improvement, to be creative....
Maybe, that's is why this bakery is so successful!!!! Overall rating: 9/10.

Malaysia Best in Losing Skilled Talent~With "Good" Education System!

When you talk about Malaysia, it is beautiful and peaceful and all. But, yet, I still think that Malaysian government can do more. Just watched the NTV7 siasat, I must admit this show is getting better and better! More critical reviews are being shown to the public! This week, it was about the Malaysian youngsters studying in Singapore's government schools while still living in Malaysia! More info at here!

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150285989600974

Malaysia already lost some fine talents @SPM and @STPM level. Now, with more children going to Singapore at such tender age, I believe Malaysia will be facing the talent shortage. Thus, at the end, foreign talents will be hired to work in Malaysia at a higher price!

  1. Everchanging of English and Malay Language as The Teaching Medium.
It is so tiresome to see our Education Ministry keeps on changing non-stop! If English is chosen, then stick with it! Now, after 5 years (how i know because I was the last batch learning in Malay), they go to change it again! Non-consistent education will only produce incompetent students. Instead of changing back to Malay, find solutions! Wonder why is it so difficult?

     2.  The Less Insured Placement in Local University.

You may be the top student in your school or even a top scorer in the Nation. Yet, you are not offered a place in the local university for the course you like like medicine, engineering, pharmacy....Now, fine if you can't secure a place due to average results. However, if you studied like a machine, scored straight As, you still couldn't get 1. This is definitely not your fault! The system in the local university might be biased. I can't really comment on that unless they show us the criteria on the students' selection. Then again, if result is not the part of it, what is? After seeing a lot of seniors suffered after scoring straight As in their STPM, I decided to enroll to a private university. A lot of them ended up in Singapore because Singapore appreciate talents! They even got scholarship to continue their studies there with a bond of course. But, isn't that great ?

     3. Competitive on Getting Scholarship
Malaysia's scholarships are hard to get! If you get 1, you really win a lottery. Yet, I still think the system in scholarship really not efficient. The government's criteria to find the scholars again are uncertain! In the end, a lot of full As students go on National TV to appeal their cases. Okay, it is fine if you said that results are not everything; that's why interview is required. However, I heard a lot of stories~~~

   4. University Level Education

Okay, if you are studying in University, I think English should be the main medium in teaching unless you are learning foreign language. However, from what I heard, it was not the case. Some of the lecturers conduct the teaching solely in Malays. Not that I am saying it is bad, you are loving your country. However, in term of teaching, you are actually educating the student to be less comprehensive in English~ Talking about the recent World university ranking, a government servant said that it is a bad influence to take notice of this rank! I said shut up~ From this ranking, you know your level! And, from there, it is never to late to improve it! How? I think should as the professional educator to solve it~ If not, why you hire them for the 1st place~
Just from a simple analysis, you would know that the Education system in Malaysia is still not effective enough to consider all the aspects! How will Malaysia strop lossing skilled talent?

Solve the problem from the root! From our children! Start to learn from other countries' education system! Why are they more successful ?

Marco Pizza @ Opposite Kelana Jaya LRT!!!!~ (Pizza Battle 1)

After several boring posts about negative of KTM, it is time to move on! What is the best thing to do on Sunday?! Relax and chill, and definitely update my foodie bloggie! To date, some of my more popular posts are on food in Ipoh. Yup, I am from the heaven of good food. Anyway, today, not gonna talk about Ipoh food yet! Instead, I am gonna introduce you all a pizza shop called "Marco Pizza". The location is relatively easy to find which is just opposite the Kelana Jaya LRT.

Photobucket

Yup, as you can see from the pic, the atmosphere there was quite nice and comfy! Ok, the main reason why I wanted to try this restaurant was because I won RM60 vouchers for it! Yeah!!!!~ Seemed like my magical lamp (here) works pretty fine to me ~~~~So, I brought my mom and bro who were ngam ngam in town to join this feast. If not, I can't really finish the vouchers all by myself.

Photobucket
The drinks we ordered were quite good actually (To my surprise). The mango puree wasn't too sweet with a lot of mango inside it. The cappuccino was really nice and came in large cup..hehehehehe~~~

Photobucket
I have to say this - their spaghetti were really nice tooooo~~ I thought it will be like not that tasty. The portion was also quite large too.

Well, I am sure that you all can't wait to have a look at the pizzas we ordered right! Since they were the main highlight for this foodie post, we ordered 2 pizzas (Marco Pizza mah).
Photobucket

Photobucket
They were quite tasty! Actually, i would say that the flavouring for the pizzas were quite unique unlike what we tasted in Pizza hut. Therefore, my mom, bro, and I were really satisfied with the food.

A Farewell at Kinta Riverfront Ipoh

I was digging up my photos. Omg, look what I found! Some photos I forgot to share with you all! Exactly 1 year ago, we had a small farewell for a friend who was leaving to Canada again! Don't laugh! Before I GOT THE CHANCE TO POST, he already returned from Canada this year (2011)....@@ Yup, how ironic! So, just assume that we farewell him this year!...hahahaha, by the way, this post was a continual from here - The Return of Perak Cave dated 5/12/2010.....(@@) hv to sweat myself.......

Photobucket

Hope that he is not mad! But, I already uploaded on my facebook, just din share the story here. Oh well, so, my fussy Canadian friend read the newspaper and said that he wanted to try this place - Kinta Riverfront. To my surprise, the atmosphere there was quite nice! By the riverside, it was so soothing and relaxing! and they were trying to pose some ghostly photos...hahahahah~

Photobucket

But, don't be so happy 1st! The food there was crazily EXPENSIVE! From the pics above, my friend's hand is and was larger than the plate! Oh yes!!!! Guess how much? RM 7.00 per plate, they didn't even serve us rice! The coco drink was still ok only. I think we ordered the wrong dishes already, should not try Indian food over there, the portion was so small~~But, the grill bar might oso end up to be the same..Oh well,  the only thing nice there was the environment.

NOTE: It was already a year ago~~~If there are any misconceptual of this post, please correct me! Perhaps they improved their service already? If you have been visiting the same place, remember to tell me , ok ? thanks~~~

Photobucket

Despite all that, we had fun! That's what friend are for~~~ For FUN(^^) ~~And, the bridge there was pretty nice! I guess it will become a great landmark in Ipoh, if preservation of the area is well-maintained! It is great to see that Ipoh is finally moving!!!~~~

RasaMas = Rasa Malaysia??? @ Midvalley

Wow, just got back to my hometown today, I am so tired! It is time for me to detox and to refresh my healthy lifestyle. Right now, I am feeling so old like 30-year-old. Yup, it is really time for me to "bao yang" , if not, definitely will grow old super fast!

Anyway, this year is really a hectic day for me. Thank goodness I did my internship last year! Wow, already a year had passed! So, this year, I just wanna laze around perhaps? Hahaha, I have other plans just in case my summer internship this year is unsuccessful!

Basically, Midvalley has become my second home! I spend almost 5 days per week at Midvalley this week. Yay, why? Because I finished my final exams this year. It is time for me to celebrate! What a crazy week! To some extent, I barely could remember vividly what had happened in this week. So, I want to blog down some of the fun moment in my life!

So, before going to the fun moment, let's go foodie again. Couple of weeks ago, I went Midvalley AGAIN~~~So, the usual eating places in MV for me are KFC, McD, and others. It was just so boring! So, I walked past restaurant near McD at the ground floor - RASAMAS. Oh yea, I think it is like a restaurant from AYAMAS????Can anybody tell me ????

Photobucket

I ordered the promotion set. From the pic, you can see that there were rice, veges, chickens, soup and drink for RM9.9 (excluding government tax and service tax). Well, the environmental was good, but, the actual dish appearance was a bit different from the ads. Nonetheless, the taste was fine! The chicken really tasted like ayamas chicken woh......

If you are sick of KFC, McD.....there are other options in Midvalley from expensive to expensive...hahhaahahah

Life Cleaning Process - The Sewage Treatment Plant Visit 2010

Before going into the sewage plant with me, I just wanna share some little updates in my life. Since last semester, everything is truly falling apart due to my own incompetence. Not only my results dropped like crazy, even the social aspect of life seems to be messy and difficult. One word to describe  - " DRAMATIC"!!!

I heard a lot of accusations. I am either a "dictator" or " the person who wants to win it all". Well, people are always like that. Yes, I love to talk! Yes, I love to argue! But, if you have enough facts, I will definitely shut up! Don't say that I win because you lose! I hate people saying that. Anyway, finally the last stroke broke my back! I will not just sit down and being talked down like that. If you don't like me, don't talk to me, don't look at me, don't care of me! I am freaky busy already. Don't try to break my souls! Fine, if you think that I am such person, just let it be!Since you talked me until such level,  Yes, i am a very bad person and don't mess with me(><)!!!I was so angry that I posted this:

if you said tat i like to argue and quarrel for no reason, nope, this is not me ! if you think that this is about me winning, nope, that is not me neither! There is no point for me to win becoz we all on the same boat!!!!! I want us to win 2gether. But, ppl will never get this point~Ok, call me whatever names you want - "dictator", "the person wants to win"....Fine, this is for your best interest, not mine!~~~

Hopefully, after this semester, I will have a life-cleaning process. It would be nice to take a rest from all the dramas and hide in my own Little World (^^). Anyway, last year (time flew again), I went on a visit to a sewage treatment plant (loji rawatan kumbahan). It was an eye-opening experience. It struck me that we are making so much waste and wastewater in Malaysia.

Well, here is a bit of warnings before looking at the photos. The usual and expected conditions of a sewage treatment plant. However, it is the core of a city and even a country. Without this treatment plant, people would have hard time accessing clean water!!!!~~~Have a look (^^)

Photobucket

Actually, it got the chamber's feel. It was kinda cool to be able to walk inside and let us know that how the process goes by.

Photobucket

From the view, it was fantastic to see how the water is being processed. Apart from that, it also instilled a sense of responsibility into our lives.

So, try not to throw solid waste down the drains~~~~

Save our environment ! Save Earth!!!!~~~

A Cruel World for The Cats

In the eyes of the cats, the world is becoming crueler and colder by the days. Gone were those days where people were more compassionate towards animals including cats and dogs. To them, humans were their best friend. But, who would have thought that humans would also become their worst enemies (note: not directed to cat lovers and other kind people in the world).

To be truthful, facebook really opens the eyes of people from all over the world. The 1st ever video on cats' torturing I watched was the high-heel Asian Bi*** killing the poor and defenseless kitten. The whole process was gruesome to watch. Before torturing the poor kitten, she was hugging it. The next thing, she was stepping her sharp heels into the poor kitten' body. Isn't this a horrific scene to see??? It was like piercing through my body. Imagine you are in the kitten's position!!!!! Until today, I don't know whether they caught her or not~~~

Then, just recently, another tragedy happened in Serdang. Yes, just near my place, this is so heartbreaking!!!!! The girl was stomping 3 kittens to death. The helpless mother of the kitten must have been devastated seeing her babies dying in front of her(><)!!!!!! Later, facebook users located her and she came out and apologised. I wondered why she did that at the 1st place~ !!!!! Think before you act!!!!!~~

Photobucket

About a year ago, a black cat gave birth to 3 pretty kittens at my neighbour's house. But, she was being chased away and landed at my place. My sis and I sympathised them and gave them water, food, a nice cardboard for them to stay. Before I could "kidnap" one of them, black mama took them away(><) Hope that they are living a better life! Look at them! Aren't they cute? HOW COULD PEOPLE BE THAT CRUEL!!!!(><)

Appreciate life! Don't just simply kill! Don't torture them as Earth is their homes tooo!!!!!~~~

PS: Currently facing huge workloads! But, the horrible event woke up me and reminded me not to forget how the World spins~~~

A Rather Political Post - Budget Malaysia 2010/11

Haiz, what a busy me! I have been gone for quite some time! It is time to resurface back to my blog! Anyway, there is this urge or a spur of a moment for me to write this post~ Reason? Well, even though I rarely touch about politics in my blog (afraid of kena banned and etc), this time, I feel that I must express my thoughts as Malaysia is the place where I was growing up.

Anyhow, just cut to the chase. The Budget 2010/11 Malaysia got some good ideas, and a lot of bad ideas. Let's me analysis a bit.

Good Ideas:
  • Promoting Green Tech (Obviously good for environment and business)
  • Toll price will not increase woh (Good for us, bad for debt)
  • Tax free for branded accessories( Wow, all moms will be so happy)
Bad Ideas
  • Approximately 1600 million for government administration budget while development budget is about 450 million ( Not sure about the exact values, but this is definitely not logical at all) Supposed we wan to save admin fee mah, how come budget give one more zero for this case? Haiz, development is so cheap in Malaysia?
  • Build another Mega-Tower towering KL Tower and Twin Towers (Yes, this sentence has a lot of "Tower" , so is Malaysia! So, save the money and build other stuffs lah, enough Royal Palaces too)~~
Here are some of points I notice. Well, can't read all of them, really no time because my research project is here(><)! If you have any interesting points, feel free to add in the comment section. and I have a great suggestion. Since Budget Malaysia is like our own budget, isn't it best that we can vote for some policies and deny some? Budget is like a constructive way to control the usage of money. But, planning poor budget definitely would only waste a lot of money~~ Think before you spend!

Suggestion: Let the People of Malaysia to vote how to use our country money? Is building a taller tower, really makes Malaysia look tall?

tata for now! Time to go to sleep and write my essay(><)~~`

Weirdest, Trendiest Mamak in Serdang - District 8 (@@)

Oh my, I have been away for quite some time again! These few weeks were actually the busiest weeks ever! Well, thanks to my stupidity commitment to join a contest in designing an advertising campaign in promoting sustainability! Anyway, it was truly a frantic moment for me and my group members because we were having communication crisis! But, now, everything seems to be falling in the right place!

___________________________________________________________________________________
Off with my boring daily life! Today, I am going to share with you all a Mamak stall that I came across! Oh yes, this particular Mamak is really edgy, trendy and up-to-date! Firstly, the name of the shop is District 8 (quite obvious is related to District 9) and they really do sell all sort of weirdest roti canai!

distric8

Let's have a look at the stall. It is like any Mamak stall which is just opposite 33 Restaurant. You think it is nothing special! Wait until you see the menu!

district 8

This is one of the coolest menu I have ever seen! Just click to have a larger view, you will understand what I mean! The names of the roti canai are super creative! For example, they have Roti 2010 (@@), Roti Tiga Rasa, Roti Titanic, Roti 1Malaysia~~~~ Oh yes, they are truly trendy~~

district 8

At the end, Roti 3 Rasa, Roti Sardin, and Roti Diana were ordered! To be honest, it was quite okay! The taste was a bit new to me! But, I can accept them! Haha, it was actually fun to try out roti canai with such unique names!

Ratings
Taste: 7.5/10
Price: 6.5/10

Malaysia, Happy 53th Merdeka Day!

floria 2010

31 August 1957 was the day of freedom and independent! It was Merdeka day! From my Sejarah knowledge which I still remember, it was everybody's fight to gain independence. During the fight, all races united for freedom! Today, Malaysia is famous for multiracial citizens who live in harmony. Prior to Merdeka Day, there were a lot of sad news! I just hope that we should be in peace dealing with more important matter instead of arguing those nonsenses in the news! Plan for the future! Make Malaysia a safer place! Stop the argument and be a better country!

Happy Merdeka Day, Everybody!

p.s: Yes, I am also free from my internship! Time to laze around(^^)

Malaysia - Paradise for Animals? Revised Animals Act 1953

Story 1 - If the news didn't spread the story of 300 abandoned dogs being left in Pulau Ketam(Pulau Tengah) to die, I think that people would still think that Malaysia is a paradise for animal? Paradise might be for the noble breed, how about the normal, average looking mongrels? It would be like hell for them. Sometimes, I really doubted the ability of the government in handling this kind of problem. So, they dumped them there thinking that the dogs could eat what - sand? water? mud? leaves? Then, the horror happened when 300 abandoned dogs eat each other on Malaysia Island(http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/world/2009-05/07/content_7753693.htm) In the 1st place, they must plan well in solving this problem. Got problem baru solved it - is not the way. (Do you still remember this case?) No, look at here http://www.mycen.com.my/rescue/index.html The rescue team trying to save! Foreigners would be horrified to read this news(><)

Story 2 - KTM's abuse story in 2010 was also another shocking reveal! At Kepong KTM, a dog was tied up and a wooden stick was shoved under its throat! Omg, imagine that someone shoved a wooden spoon into your throat! Do you like it?! I complaint about KTM all the time, but, this time, it was really horrible! It was ridiculous that a stray dog being abused like that in the public and the workers seemed to got away from any kind of legal actions! Paradise for animals in Malaysia, think again!~~~(http://www.mathaba.net/0_index.shtml?x=623156)

Other Stories  - There were so many stories to tell. If telling them one by one could help, of course, I would! But, actions always speak louder than words! Animals Act 1953 in Malaysia is obsolete! Yes, this act is older than me!An antique would not be able to govern the country!~~~Imagine that you are the one being mistreated or abused! Animals are living beings! They feel the pain, hurt...too.

Therefore, my friend, Janice, sent me a petition to amend the Animals Act 1953 as follow:
We urge for the increase of the liable fine of RM 200 to a minimum of RM 10,000. We also propose the liable jail term to be increase from 6 months to a maximum of 2 years with the compulsory community service to be carried out in animal shelters for a minimum of 4 hours per day during jail term. We also press upon the need to include the ban of consuming dogs and cats to the REVISED ANIMALS ACT 1953 as dogs and cats are companion animals.

Yes, with more strict rules, this would definitely help to reduce abuse case!  So, sign the petition here:

Escaping to Home Town with A Dilemma

Oh my, after spending several sleepless weeks for my finals, I actually can go back to my hometown for my summer break. However, stupid me, I found a internship in Ipoh. Now, I have to spend 3 months working! Anyway, I just have to see it as an opportunity to learn and improve since my results aren't going to good! (Let's pray hard for my results)!

Currently, everything seems so blur to me! Since my uni is actually offering a 3/4 year course for us to choose, I have to decide by 1 June. 3-Year-Course is a Bachelor (Hon) Degree while 4-year-course is a Master Degree. Hmmmm, if I take 3 years, this means that I will be graduating next year. Wow, that is fast! Am I prepare for the real world? Am I ready?

I am in a dilemma now(><)! According to my lecturers' claims, they said that in order to be recognized by Board of Engineer Malaysia(BEM), we would need to take 4-year-course as they don't recognize 3-year-course. Haiz, let's said I took 4-year-course, I would need about 1 year to be recognized by BEM. However, if I take 3-year-course, I might need about another 4 years~~~~ (Thanks to BEM to make my life more difficult)

However, in deep in my thought, I am hoping to pursue another Master programme in Environmental Engineering and Technology. So, should I spend another year studying something that is least interesting to me, but very important for my future career? Or, should I just study another year, then, baru choose the field I interest in?~~~

Even though it is just a year difference, the journey is horribly though! Am I a fighter? This year, definitely not! But,I think I shouldn't run away from this! I should just face it and live on!

Comments and Suggestions would be a great help!

Cameron Trippin Prelude: Just Remember The Green

I wanted to update so badly; time is just too little. Just finished off the final assignment of the semester! I hate you - plant design! You are MOST TROUBLESOME coursework I have ever encountered! Then, it is time to prepare for my final, which is less than 2 weeks! Omg! omg! Omg! Omg!!~~~Having anxiety attack right now!. So, i wouldn't be able to update as frequently as I used to~~ But, keep supporting my bloggie^^~~

Okay, enough complaining and whining! Let's talk about something that we all should be concerned about. When we were younger, it seemed like time moves so slow. Yet, now in my 21 (21 bday post), I feel that time flies! When I was young about 10-year-old, I learned about recycling! I learned about environmental conservative. Since then, I heard of recycling from Primary School to University! Yet, I have to say that a lot of Malaysians just don;t really talk the talk, or even walk the walk. As for me, I ain't a Saint; yet, I tried my best to recycle whatever I can ! However, the truth is not because of Malaysians can't or won't do it, it is just that the Government was never really consistent in their programs at all! How many policies the Government introduce were successful?~~~They can have advertisement in TV shows every day. But, without proper implementation, recycling in Msia would not work!

Oh well, this post was not intended to criticize any parties. But, sometimes, I just can't help to feel that Government did not do enough ! We did not do enough! I see people throw away plastic bottles instead of recycling it! I see people shaving with the water tap on! I see people on the lights even though they don't use it!Yes, I am getitng emotional! Let's take a step back. Everything started from the trip to Cameron Highlands last year! It had been ages since I went there. It really changed a lot! Yet, today, this post is more serious! It is not the happy tripping prelude!

Before this, everything was greeeeeeen!!!! I still remembered the dreadful and deadly mountain roads to Cameron Highlands. It took us don't know how many hours to reach there! But, when we finally reached there, it was a fruitful experience! I still remembered the beautiful flower cars carnival held every year! (Wonder why there is no news about this even? already been demolished?) Today, from Ipoh to Cameron Highlands, it would just take about 1 and half hours to reach there thanks or no thanks to development. Cameron Highlands has successfully transformed itself to a tourism landmark! But, it came with a price!
  • road construction means more cars there (Yes, it took us 3 hours to go back due to traffic jam). This would contribute to air pollution
  • more people staying there means more building which means more construction!-less trees on the highlands - increase the risk of landslide and soil erosion.
  • more people means more food - land exploitation for agricultural purposes.

Photobucket
From the pictures above, can't you see that there are more buildings there than trees and mountains! Can't you see that tourists left a huge pile of "pollution" there? It was so sad to see it with my own eyes! IT WAS DEVASTATING TO BE TRAPPED in the traffic jams. I believe that  a lot of people would rather take beautiful scenic pictures; but, if this is the truth, I think we all should show it to the world! Let's show the real situation to the people!Yup, before showing pretty pictures of a place, we must see the ugly side as well!

I am not discouraging development! But, instead, I support sustainable development! With proper planning and implementations, I believe that Cameron Highlands would be developing better than now! Like building the premises with proper site designs so that, the mountains wouldn't be over-exploited!

Do you believe in 2012 - the movie? Even though the movie was a bit sucky, I have to say that it really did a good job in warning us! Right now, there are horrible natural disasters around the globe - tsunami, earthquake, sand-storm, tornado, bizarre, volcanoes eruption!!!!! Malaysia is super duper hot like crazy!!!!!~~~

I think that we should blog more about environment issues! If everyone of us blog and spread the awareness, maybe, there might be hope for us and the future generations! Let's try to stop 2012 from happening! A small step would be good - start recycling!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps: Next post, trip to Cameron ! It was still fun even though I sounded so harsh in this post(^^) Goo Green!

My 200th - My 21 Birthday @ Hai Tong and Gasoline~~~

wow, I have been missing for 3 weeks! Yes, the reasons? The enormous amount of coursework and soon-to-come finals! Right now, I am having anxiety attacks constantly! Haizzz, life of an engineering students is a bit sad until I have no time to update about my 21 birthday which was couple months ago!  For this 200th post (finally), I am saving my 21 birthday for this^^~~~.

Well, if you ask me, what 21 means to me? I feel that nothing changes, just that I am getting older. I don't feel that I have more freedom. Instead, I am feeling that I have more responsibilities. Anyway, to me, birthday celebration is all about foods! Let's start the food fiesta!^^

Stop 1: Hai Tong Steamboat Restaurant @ Serdang [海塘生鍋@沙登]

my 21 bday

This is one of the famous steamboat restaurant in Serdang. I think a lot of people might heard of it^^.  The location is quite secluded! But, if you ask the people around Serdang, I think you will have no problem finding it~~~

my 21 bday

What I love about this restaurant is that there are a lot choices of raw materials. But, there aren't much of the already-cooked cuisine! This might be due to the restaurant also offers grilling-style of steamboat. Well, to clarify my words, let's look at the next photo!

my 21 bday

Yes, I think that me and my housemates were grilling food rather than steamboating! Haha, we GRILLED practically anything, everything, .....Yes, that's why from pics, there were a lot of the round round yellow thingy^^~~~ those were butter^^~~~~~

Rate: 7.5 / 10 ( Everything was just nice!)

Stop 2: Gasoline @ Time Square
Then, the next stop was Gasoline @ Time Square! Well, this restaurant, I have nothing to say!

my 21 bday

When we arrived, we were like invisible! The waiters were absent in sight! Then, my friends joked that the boss might want to save cost, so he employed less workers~~~haizzzzzzz~~~~

my 21 bday
The food there was normal and expensive, and not up to standard! Gasoline in Serdang is like 100 times better than the one in Times Square. So, even though they like franchise, this doesn't means that they would have the same quality and standard~~~~ But, the Secret Recipe Cheese Cake from my friends were super awesome!!!!!(^^) Thanks guys for the cake, but the words on the cake were.....uncommentable@@

Rate: 3.5/ 10 (Lousy Service and Food)

Stop 3:CUTie Kitty(^^)

my 21 bday!
Lastly, thanks for my sister and my housemate for the presents! I absolutely adore them^^
Haha, let's all have a great year ahead!~~~

My Wonderland (72 Tenants, Avatar, Burger King)

Omg, I just realised that I hadn't updated for more than a week! There were a lot in my mind! But, some of them were washed away by time. Yet, I would try my best to remember some beautiful memories! That's is why My Little World is My Wonderland! Haha, isn't this obvious? I am going to talk about Alice in Wonderland! But, at the same time, I will talk a bit about 72 TENANTS and also AVATAR!!!~~~ I warned you all, this is gonna be a super duper long post!

Chapter 1: 72 Tenants

Firstly, 72 tenants! Well, it was a bit over-rated! Even though Anita Yuen is still my favourite actress, she seems to lose her own style already! But, the complimentary passes were really worthy because the whole cinema was full-house even in Jusco Balakong there! Crazy ~~~~~~The storyline was a bit predictable - all well that ends well ~~~ But, several guest actors really did make a huge impression!
  • Shermaine 佘诗曼 - The Landlord lady - super fierce and totally not her image at all! It was a great try for her. But, her appearance was too short!!!!!~~~
  • 钟嘉欣 had to kiss 王祖蓝 so many times(@@)~~~
Rating
  1. Cast: 8/10
  2. Storyline: 5/10
  3. Development: 4/10 (climax)

Chapter 2: Alice's Wonderland in Midvalley
Last Wednesday (17-3-10), after class, me and my gang of friends wondered our way to a Wonderland - Midvalley! Our plan was to watch Alice in Wonderland. But, to our surprise, the wonderland was filled with people! Yes, we were drowned in a sea of people. Horrible!!! Then, when we queued for the tickets for 4.30pm show. The screen were showing selling fast, but there were still about 30 reserve tickets left. But, the stupid staff would not check for us! Super lousy!!!! Anyway, at the end, we ended up buying tickets at GSC SIGNATURE GARDEN!!!! YES, THE TICKETS WERE 100% more expensive(RM15)!

alice

Oh, in conjunction of Alice's Wonderland showing, Mivalley also created a Wonderland of its own! I have to say: it was amazing!!!! Everything there was quite detailed and beautiful!!!!~~~~Gonna show you all more photos^^. Anyway, can you all see the GSC Signature!? It was super grand! and all the seats there were double seated which was suitable for couple! I was lucky to have the double seat all by myself. I felt like a RED QUEEN there. hohohoho, laying there, and enjoying the show!

Before the show, we headed for lunch! Yes, we were starved to death thanks to GSC Midvalley! If you got the cash, just go for GSC Signature lah~~~ but, not always lah~~~..hahaha. We had BURGER KING for lunch and thanks to Elaine - she treated us ooooooooooooo !!! Thanks~~~

burger king

Yes, certain restaurants, the bill can be paid via Touch-n-Go card. How convenient!!!!~~~ Again, thanks Elaine for the treat! Thanks~~~~~~~~Milllion thanks~~~~~~~~

burger king

Well, the burgers were super nice! Of course, it was much more tastier than McDonald, but, the price also more expensive. One thing I was surprise and dislike was that there was no more free flow of soft drinks. Haizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz~~~~~~~~~~

alice

Here are the models of the day! Hahaha, it was indeed a fun day to relax! But, the crowd was too great! It was super difficult to take photos. People kept on wrecking the scene. ~~~

alice
The Wonderland of Midvalley really attracted people! Wonder why they didn't make Pandora for Avatar?~~~~Anyway, guys, I really had a great time! We should do it more often!(^^)~~~

Chapter 3: Avatar in Wonderland

Well, how would I start this?!~~~ Avatar and Wonderland are both great movies in their own ways! Avatar, took its time to explore the world of Pandora. However, Alice rushed her revisit of the Wonderland. If Tim Burton took another 30 mins to show us how beautiful Wonderland was, I would vote for Wonderland to win! Now, both of them are in tie! Avatar lacked of interaction between human and Navee~~ When everything happened in 3D, it stuck to 3D. There were no direct interactions! In Wonderland, Alice interacted with all the 3D characters like the rabbit, the animals. But, the casts in Wonderland had rather short appearance which led to limitation of acting. Johnny Depp was a colourful vase~~~ So, the rating are~~~
Avatar
  1. Cast: 6/10 (Well, most of them are in 3D)
  2. Storyline: 7/10 (predictable)
  3. Development: 9/10 (climax was great!)
Alice's Wonderland
  1. Cast: 7.5/10 (lack of development of characters)
  2. Storyline: 9/10 (Revisiting was a great theme)
  3. Development: 7/10 (climax was too much! need to lengthen the story and time of movie)
