Program Vaksinasi HPV 2013, You Decide Your Health

General Information

Nothing is more important than health regardless you are studying or working. Therefore, it is time to start taking of yourself, girls! In this very post, I have some useful information on the HPV Vaccination Program (PVHPV). 

This program is initiated by Population and Family Development Board Malaysia (LPPKN) under the prevision of Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) with the aim to to reduce the occurrences of disease due to Cervical Cancer in women in the next 20 years.

The goal for this vaccination drive is to:

• To administer HPV vaccination to all girls born in the year 1993 and 1994 that belongs to the "catch up group"
• To protect Malaysian women from the risk of HPV infection
• To lessen the risk of cervical cancer among women in Malaysia. 

With the goals above, it is targeted to combat cervical cancer in which there are abnormal cervic cell growth in the body. Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the main culprit (about 99.7%) causing cervical cancer [1]. Vaccination against this HPV might reduce death by 2/3 [2]. Currently, Malaysia's 3rd most common cancer is cervical cancer which is staggering to know!

Eligibility and Schedule 

All women from the age of 18 and above and is not pregnant is eligible for the free HPV vaccine. Under the government initiative, from 2nd of October to 16th November, LPPKN will be going to Universities in Klang Valley, Sabah and Sarawak to give out free vaccine to all the selected Universities students. The vaccination programme starts at 9am to 4pm. The schedule is as below and 1st session map is attached below :

·         Universiti Islam Antarabangsa - 23 October 2013

·         Universiti Putra Malaysia – 2^nd November 2013

For those who complete all three doses, they will be given a free pass to a concert with locally-renowned artistes that is scheduled in the second quarter of 2014. (2^nd March 2014)

In the immediate, participants from each university or college who register to vaccinate in a group of five or more will be eligible for a lucky draw, with the prize being a fully-sponsored Girls Day Out session. (The destination of full expense paid Girls Day Out will be a secret but we promise it will be something really fun )

Jackie Chan Fights Virus Along With Kaspersky!!!

Gosh, I just started my classes for a week. However, I felt like I am in the end of semester! Yes, workloads of chemical engineering are not easy to handle! Key point - Time Management!!! But, I am still a pro-procrastinator!!!! I am trying my best to have a good start! Indeed, this week is definitely very tiring! Plus, this year, KTM really wastes more of my time. Going to my uni, it is punctual. However, going back to home is really a painful experience! For the past 5 days, no matter what time I went back home, there would always be a delay! For e.g:

Mon: 3.00pm - delay
Tue:.1.30pm - delay
Wed:5.30pm - delay
Thu: 4.30pm - delay
Fri(Just now): 1.30 pm - another delay!
From the survey above, KTM would delay at least 1 train in an hour from 1.30pm to 6.30pm! Oh well, what to do! They monopolized the main locations, yet, they did nothing to improve their standards and services. Hopefully, the current PM would take a ride in KTM!!!!


Okay, if you notice, today, my post topic is Jackie Chan fighting virus! A couple of months ago, my sis bought a 3PC users anti-virus: Kaspersky during the PC Fair. Well, the price is still okay! Around RM33 per user!~~~
Yes, Jackie Chan is fighting virus along with Kaspersky...even though it is quite weird...ahaha. Currently, using Kaspersky, well, let me analysis the pros and cons for this software~~~


Analysis(^^)

• Price is affordable
• The interface is simple to use.
• slow down the computer during scanning.

{The Above Issue should be taken into considerable when purchasing anti-virus softwares}

Anyway, we even got ourselves a set of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 1st day cover!!! Again, this is also quite weird. Well, I have to say, they are really innovative!!! Jackie Chan and stamp are not directly related to anti-virus. Yet, they do make a huge impression!!!!

Hahaha, now super tired!!! Really need to sleep~~~~@@ Oooo, time management is just so hard! It is time to cut down some facebook mini games!!!!!

The Second Nuffnang Cheque Here(^^)

The titled said it all^^! I requested my payment around 28 June and it arrived about 4 August. I would consider this process to be quite efficient! Better than my 1st cheque [here]. Well, I have to say that it is all about timing. Yup, from my previous post[if you actually read it], my beautiful cat was suffering of crystals formation inside her bladder which subsequently cause her to urinate blood. After undergoing a surgery, she is now recuperating under my delicate care(^^). and I must say that the bill is not cheap at all!@@ But, it worth every single ringgit [not cent], because she is like my family member[10 years liao]

Since I am still holidaying, I have all the time to "star" off all my details. Hahaha, what to do?! To free liao ohhh!!! But, in less than a month time, the hectic lifestyle which will fix my biological clock - is going to return again! Yes, I am all "electrified" and "energized" to study !!!

Bring it on!!! I am not afraid of tests and assignments [So, I said it out loud for now only@@]haha

Just like A Trip To New Zealand!^^

Well, the title is really exaggerating! This so-called trip happened about a month ago even before my Cambodia Trip.

About a month ago, I just finished the ever-scary final examination. With all the time in hand, I was as free as birds. Then, every gathering came at once. One of the gatherings was at the usual Midvalley (Yes, I am almost pro in Midvalley coz almost can memorize the map there^^). Anyway, after 2 movies (Terminator Salvation and Star Trek) in a row, me, hiewmun, kenneth, wei wen and clarence needed to rest. Then, we wondered around Midvalley and The Garden.

Without a proper planning of going to where, we ended up in New Zealand.......Natural Ice-Cream! Hahaha, it was just like a trip to New Zealand^^. The shop was actually in between the runway of Midvalley and Gardens.

We were quite surprised that New Zealand Natural was in Midvalley. Haha, this was really meant to be! Yes, we stepped inside the shop....again, it was just like a trip to New Zealand!^^ Hahaha! With all the beautiful-to-sight flavours of ice-creams, we wanted to have it all! But, you, me and everybody knew that that was not going to happen! Haha!!!! To sum it up, WANR(We are not rich!). Please take a good look at the prices carefully!~~~

At the end, we chose the very chocolaty flavour and oreo flavour!

To be honest, the ice-creams were fantastic! It was really a taste of New Zealand Naturally. But, too bad that we could only choose 2 flavours! Aiyo, we paid so much - But, still can't get more than 2 flavours ! This was the only setback><

The story did not just end here. With all the ice-creams in our bellies, we were a little bit high! ~~~ quite high ! Why? Haha, look at the pics below! You will know why! Anyway, which 1 is me?

Well, when it was my turn to mimic one of the artists, suddenly, the place was crowded =.= Haiz, it was quite embarrassing to do that (even wei wen dumped us there). But, then, this struck my head! I am still 20...How many 20 do I still have left? Will I be that daring to do that again after 10 years......This picture represent our youths^^

Since the start of my semester 2, I have been having lectures every day except for today, I had 2 hours class only. Therefore, after the class ended earlier than usual, I straight away jumped on the bus and went back to blog! CNN Different Perspective of The World Grand Prize Winner.

I remembered that I took part in this contest from Astro.com.my . The contest was simple. I needed to write a slogan on How CNN change my perspective of life. Omg, I forgot the slogan! Too bad, next time, I should keep a record!(><). Anyway, the grand prize really surprised me. It was an old-style camera with films! I am not joking!!!! Haha, but, there is something very magical about it!
Ooo, the packaging is awesomely cool! I really love the little red box. In the middle of the box, the treasure is shining! Yes, my grand prize is actually a special CNN edition of Lomolito !



This effect is also known as lomographic effect. Haha, I have already tried to take some "artistic" shots with it. But, I have to developed the films before I could show you all. Anyway, my uni mate, Ah Jhen also really loves lomography. So, if I bump into her, sure ask her some tips(^^)

Mega Companies Are Going Deep Green{Sustainability}

Yesterday, I attended a class of "Sustainability" Module. {Ooo, I really like the module name}. Well, basically, this module is all about environment idea and etc. {This would definitely be one of the most difficult modules}. Anyway, what I learned from this module is more than 3Rs{Reuse, Reduce and Recycle}. It is more on the facts, reasons, solutions ... on environmental issues.

Just like the idea of my module, there are so many mega companies going green as well. Finally, after securing their entrepreneur status in the market{ Making hell lot of cash from the people} , they are giving back. As the green trend is going strong day by day, I am sure that I did not make the wrong choice for my course. Okay, cut the crap! Let's go see what the mega companies did to make our world a better place!

Mega Phone Company - Nokia
Nokia has implemented a beneficial green plan. They are providing Nokia Kiosks at certain places in Malaysia such as The Garden in Midvalley, The Curve in Mutiara Damansara, and Giant Hypermarket in Bandar Kinrara. At these kiosks, people who have old or unused mobile phones, can recycle those phones and adopt a tree! This is such a wonderful plan! Well, even though the kiosks are not widely-available, it is a good start. After recycling your phone, they even help you to adopt a tree! Furthermore, you can even spot your adopted tree easily through Google Earth!

Digi is going "Deep Green". In this plan, Digi official is stating that "their main goal is to reduce their carbon dioxide footprint by 50% in 3-4 years". Oh my, what an ambitious goal! Well, I really like that they are going "Deep Green" as they are becoming the pioneer or the role model to promote environmental friendliness! In their "Deep Green" plan, they are saving from head to toe by using new equipments that save a lot. Besides that, they even create a fantastic website to promote "Deep Green" Plan. In this website, you can even send your pledge!!! I did it too(^^)

I AM A BLOGGER (Stage 2- Going Green)

Ooo, yup, this is the next stage of I AM A BLOGGER(^^){IBLOG}. This is also a new look for I AM A BLOGGER(^^). After going through deep consideration , I have decided to create this new going-green look for I AM A BLOGGER(^^) poster. In this poster, I used very simple words and stickers to express the new theme for the group. In short, I am going green, so does, I AM A BLOGGER group. Hence, under this new stage, not only I would try my best to promote the group and the fellow group members' blogs, I would also like to instill an environmental-vibes into the mind of most people. As you can see from the new poster, the theme is "Going Green - Love Our Earth! I do, but, do you?"

Under this new stage, I would:

1. Write more articles on environment issues
2. Introduce more ways to save energy
3. Learn more about environment
4. try to spread greenness to everybody

Even though I am still quite new in this environment thingy, I will try my best to really help the environment by starting to go green. Some people might think that my ability to spread green is very limited. But, I am sure that people who care about the environment will be influenced by me sooner or later.{I sound so evil leh(^^)}. Well, if I put my heart and soul into something, I am sure that the results will be fruitful.


Therefore, a few easy ways to start to save the environment:

1. recycle, reuse, and reuse
2. save energy by using energy-saving light bulbs
3. don't let the water running while brushing your teeth, shaving...
4. try to make natural fertilizers using organic wastes

(Even though these ways are not very fresh and new, how many person actually really do that? If you do, then, it is great. You can go to the next stage. Anyway, my group is not that big, but, one day, I hope I really can touch people hearts and they start to save the environment.)

Ooo, finally, I took my piano test today. Well, I was not in my best status due to extreme nervousness and lack of confidence. However, I am just glad that it was over. So, come what may, no matter good or bad, I would only say I did my best. So, this post has nothing to do with my piano test at all. Whether I really V in my piano test, I have to wait and find out.




Okey, yesterday, I had received a parcel from DHL service guy(By the way, I am not prmoting DHL). As you can see, it was a medium parcel. I wondered what was inside. After reading the address, omg, it came from Hong Kong. My first parcel and the only parcel from Hong Kong. Well, in the midst of practicing for my piano test, I left it aside first. Then, I just could not overcome my curiosity and opened it!!!!!!!!!!!!Look what was in it! Wow, all the gifts were so cool, even the case for the T-shirt is very nice!!!





Then, I recalled that I have received an email from Channel V. Yes, I had won some merchandise from Channel V for X-Files Movie. Oooo, the gifts were quite cool. Well, I definitely loved the T-shirt most!!! As for the mug, I was like thinking " Why they sent me a cup from thousand miles away?!" Then, there was a mystery waiting for me to discover. I will show you all the truth!!!



Ooo, the cup is actually a colour-changing mug triggered by heat. OOo, when I poured hot water inside, the secret will be revealed!!! [Above is the before and after, neat right!?]
